| So, as cianty introduced this excellent new setting, I think it's my turn to present the first stuff I've built for our Araby-campagne. I don't know if it actually will ever take place, but I couldn't resist to start building a house. The roof isn't painted yet, and I will add some woodwork as well as some colourful banners or something similar. The wire is there to remove the roof until I find a better solution. And guess what this will be(one tip it ain't drugs ): Hope to see you guys someday in the streets of Tyrius Erkwin Edit: I just realised the pics have a quite bad quality.I hope I will be able to do some better ones tomorrow or so. | |

| Wow, man. Very nice! Once you have 10 or more of these houses you have a crazy cool Arabian city. Keep it up! And don't smoke so much pot.. Oh, one thing: I often get the impression that people conceive this as the only oriental setting - don't forget about the Khemri supplement! | |

| Hmm, I'm still not sure how large the buildings should be. I imagine that most of the fight in the cities should be fought on rooftops or walkways above the ground, simply because otherwise the rule "Crowded" can be quiet mean This is a very small house, I'll add a smaller "Anbau"(sorry no idea what this means in English) so that the shape is more interesting. Well, as far as I know about the Khemri setting it also takes places in the wilderness(just like all the other settings). But the thing I like so much about Relics of the Crusades is that it does not only take place in the desert, but also big cities! Anyway, if I'll ever make it to Arabia I'll let you know about it. | |

| @ Erk: *whfiiiiii* (whilstes in admiration). Good jooob man! Really nice. Can't wait to see more. @ Hellfoot: Shisha is just the "water-pipe" and you do NOT necessarily smoke pot with it. In fact, it stems from egypt and spread across the arabic world through the Ottoman rule of the middle east in the early middle-ages. The tobacco used has NOTHING to do with pot. It is usually flavoured with fruits (apple, cherry...) and made "sticky" with honey (nowadays: Glycerine). You DO get a very very tiny "high" when you smoke it, but this goes away a few seconds after you exhale (and that's also why you should sit when smoking that). But I can assure you that Shisha is NOT a drug and 100% legal (albeit unhealthy). I should know, I had a few Shishas with friends some time ago NB: Oh, and if you go to a shisha bar, make sure you order "Nana" (mint tea) with it. It's heavenly when they serve it with pine seeds or turkish delights (lukum). | |

| Allthough I don't know the game you mentioned Hellfoot, I had my own sources Good old Diablo II, LoD @cianty: The walls are out of foamboard. 0.5 cm, I think. The shisha is, in converse to the bath, something that could have been left right where it came from. I even prefer cigaret smoke to shisha. And just for letting you know, these "herbs" I will use to built palms. Was the best I could find in a local handcrafts-shop. | |

| That looks great! I really like the style of your building - great idea using Diablo images for inspiration! Please make more! Oh yes, a dome would look great on one or two of these building too! (You could use halved polystyrene balls (you can get them in craft stores) of those clear two-part plastic balls that toys come in, from vending machines) . I can't wait to see you palm trees - I've been wanting to make some for my Pirates for ages but haven't been able to find the right leaves yet. | |

| @Hellfoot: Yes, I used filler for a certain structure on the walls. Plus I tore of the paper of the foamboard. @WarbossKurgan: Thanks for the kind words, I also had the idea of some domes(see the pics), but I didn't think about using polystyrene balls(I even see them in the sore where I bought the foamboard, d'oh!). Some more Diablo pictures: As it could take a while until I have built palms, I thought you might be interested in this: http://www.sweetwater-forum.de/ -> "Gelände- und Modellbau" -> "Palmen" It's German, but you can still look at the pictures to see how the palms are done. Sorry, somehow I can't give you a direct link to the page. | |

| Good that you have a English link at hand Grimm makes really wonderful terrain. Do you know his lost-world table? http://www.sweetwater-forum.de/ -> "Bildergalerie" -> "LW auf der Tactica"(you have to scroll down a bit) @Hellfoot: I don't know the exact name, it is sold in big craftstores, and usually used to fill gaps in walls. | |

| Those look great! Looking forward to seeing some palm trees too! Those pine cones make excellent palm tree trunks, they look perfect! The minarets (the round things on the top of the buildings) would look great, maybes for a featured building? Found this as inspiration on a google image search... Keep up the great work | |

Keep up the great work Minarets are actually very tall, slender towers usually higher than the mosque. It's where the calls to prayer are made from. Great picture, I would love to see some terrain like that! | |
