Opponent finder

I think there aought to be an opponont finder on this forum. Like the one there used to be on the SG forum. Maybe a poll-petition would help persuade/dissuade Tom.

I believe we tried something like this before, but it will not work, since there's no one who wants to keep updating.

Actually, "something" can be found when following cianty's link and "no one who wants to keep updating" is me who does update every time someone posts his information. However, the latter does not happen all to often. But no unjust accusations, if you please

I am currently preparing to add everyone who submitted his location in his profile on my own behalf, but work days have been pretty busy the last week, so I didn't manage yet.

Not really, once a week open the thread in two windows and just edit in the responses that were added that week. Easily done.

One aspect you could look into with thjis is to use a google maps or some other tool to plot exactly where a person is on the world map. I've seen this done on other forums and it's great to get a general distribution idea across the world of where people are and whatnot.

That is a good idea, and there is no need to persuade me, since I am all for it!

Unfortunately this forum does not allow the integration of custom scripts. So I'm afraid, although I would very much like to help here, there is nothing I can do, Chad We will all have to make do with the above link and the update-work our friend Eliazar is putting in.
