Thanks for the welcome Tortiou.

I'm not sure why I got back into fantasy gaming; I just happened to drop into the Games Workshop in Brighton where I live and I felt just as excited by the miniatures as I did when I was a kid Smile

So I bought the Battle for Skull Pass and began building an orc and goblin army.

I find myself drawn more to Mordheim now though and find real joy just painting and building figures and scenery; if I have a good game or two at the end of it that's a bonus Very Happy

I'll share some pics of my warband as I paint them.

Im Claus, 30 ...from Denmark ...Only recently been introduced to Mordheim ...and the game and the YouTube video has really gotten me into this game ...though currently I have only managed a single game with my Dwarven Warband ..."Dugan's Daredevil Dungeneers"

(Scenario: Occupy....9 Stunties vs. 10 Skaven ...skaven routed after having had 4 models TOA vs. 1 Beardling TOA ...GO STUNTIES!!)

Hi Hellfoot ...yes Im having fun with dwarfs too ...below is a short AAR on my first battle ...(the skaven didnt start with a wizard ...so lo and behold the dwarfs had > rating! how often do u see that ?!?)

For me too modelling and painting is 99% of the fun. I haven't had time to comment on your superb scenery yet but I will do so very soon. Let me just say that it really impressed me!

Hello everybody!

My name is Christian - cianty on all forums -, I'm 23, and from Bremen, Germany. I've been playing Mordheim since the very release and still think it's the best GW game ever. I got to know the blog via the youtube video as a lot of people, later bookmarked the blog and now decided to finally join the community.

Unfortunately my miniatures don't look as great as what you can see on these boards, he he. I'm currently working on our gaming group's supplement with the help of a couple of other guys (praise the internet): It's called Border Town Burning (the link to which I shamelessly put into my signature tongue

) and the theme is very Chaos- and Cathay-heavy. Check it out if you like.

So what else can I say? Good luck with forum! And now I'll see what there is already...

The Cathay-setting is a really cool idea!
Did you check some historical ranges? There are some with really cool miniatures, I remember a small company who produces some teracotta zombies!

I'm a strong believer in the fact that you really can convert everything using Citadel models. Therefore we are using strictly Citadel minis only. I just recently ebayed a whole lot of Ninja Assassins which are *surprise* official Warhammer models (way back from 1991 or so). If you have a look at the Gallery of the website you'll see the oriental Citadel models I found browsing through www.solegends.com, an amazing resource for miniature enthusiasts. GW used to be really obsessed with Asia. They produced an insane range of asia-style Orcs, Skeleton warriors, Ninjas, a dragons, etc. ...

), I only had the chance to look at some of the Warhammer 40k catalogs from the time around Rogue Trader.

I live in

Manchester (UK) and I have a Fishman warband for Mordheim (sshhh! They are really just Orcs is disguise!)

I've been reading the blog for ages and I've commented a few times, but I'm really glad there is a forum now. Very Happy

I have recently played a lot of Mordheim using the "Empire in Flames" supplement and set in the "modern" Warhammer world rather than the "historical" setting of Mordheim.

As well as an interest in wargaming I have a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and I'm into music like Regina Spektor, K.T. Tunstall and Evanescence.

Oh yeah, I'm 36. Surprised

Hello, my name is Noah and I'm from California. I played Mordheim when it first came out and have recently come back to it. My current goals are to paint up my new beastman warband (I love the models), and finish up my Marienburgers!

I am 35 years old and have a family with 2 children. I work in law enforcement and enjoy this hobby as a way to relax and spend time with friends. Thanks for the forum, I enjoy the blog and the international flavor all the members bring!
