quick tut on my basing style.

take a normal base.

cover with pva glue, be rather generous

cut up old spurs, balsa wood anything! even old broken bases works fine

place them randomly onto ur base and dont worry if the glue gets a bit
messy

for the next part u will need some form of sand.

modeling sand will work fine but i personal prefer the random ruff look of
normal garden sand. (i recently put sand over my lawn and there is a nice
patch were it was dumped up the back) dirt and sticks add effect!

place model in sand

gently sprinkle over it so its almost berried in sand, then blow away excess
sand and dirt, do not tap sand off as glue has not set and the whole lot is
likely to fall off or move in away u dont want.

also gently wipe ur finger around edge to get rid of any unwanted dirt sand
and glue.

spray ur bases black as a base coat after pva glue has dryed

once dryed ur ready to start dry brushing

i use P3 paints as well as citadel so the names vary, i start with greycoat
grey (very dark grey) followed by troll blod highlight
(Kommando Khaki Paint)

finaly under belly blue as a last highlight (Space Wolves Grey Paint)

then to clean up i paint the edges black

and there u have my awesome looking mordheim bases

Very cool. I'm about to base my guys and this is pretty much the exact look I was going for!
