They were not included in the original release. They were, however, published later. For convenience you can use the re-release of the Norse warband from the Border Town Burning website, which is the exact same rules but with the official errata from Town Cryer included.

I have them somewhere it will take me a few minutes to find them but I will.
They were created but were never printed due to editing issues.

Don't forget that the Wulfen starting profile was errata'd to have 2 wounds. It's effectively a faster Possessed without access to mutations.

And some of the heroes gained access to Strength skills.

Basically the erratas fixed quite obvious mistakes.

Hey folks.

Forgive me, for I aim to be precise in this post.

If you're looking for a Wulfen's profile then you'll need to check the Space Wolves codex as that's the only GW universe where they officially or unofficially exist. Wink

Regarding the maximum charcteristics for Werecreatures, I seem to have copied them off the old forum as W3 and I6. Andy, is this a mistake on my part? It is possible that I copied them down wrong to my warband rosters I suppose. I thought that I had a print off of the SG forum thread, it just seems to have gone astray... Sad

Furthermore it's worth commenting that, this profile, and the Ulfwerenar itself have been loosely based around the Possessed, that much is a given. The racial maximums are slightly worse (bah!) than a Possessed with the exception of Movement.

There is still a glaring mistake in the maximum characteristics that were published. In the 5th edition of Warhammer there was an officially published Werecreature in the form of Beorg Bearstruck. The beast is packing Strength 6 therefore the stats used in the Mordheim game, as with all other races, should be consistent with the periodical Warhammer rules.

Therefore, if the errata confirmed by Andy above are true and accurate, then the maximum profile for a Werecreature in Mordheim is:
M8 WS6 BS0 S6 T5 W4 I7 A4 Ld9

The profile for the Balewolf, not strictly werekin but a lycanthrope beast variant, do not exceed these characteristics.

The old forum is gone for the moment but I was able to pull the data from just a search of Wulfen Stats and then it gives a bunch of links and I just copied the info for the link.

We should refer to the maximum characteristics from the forum as Da Bank has it copied because I still cannot find my hard copy.

This profile will be recorded in Border Town Burning as he has posted it with the exception of Strength being raised to a maximum of 6, due to the data for the hero Beorg Bearstruck published in Dogs of War which should take precedent.

Noobie here, I'm sure this has been asked before but I couldn't find it.

The Norse are human, and it states that the human's max stats from the core rulebook should be used. However, I got the impression that a Wulfen is NOT human. Indeed, the Wulfen starts with a movement of 6 which exceeds the maximum movement 4 of a human.

Anyone know what to use for the max stats for my Wulfen?

According to the designers of the warband, the wulfen use human max stats, except for their movement.

Many people make house rules to use possessed max stats, but that's just a house rule.

The Wulfen actually doesn't have human max stats according to jvisgaitis (he was one of the designers of the whole Lustria setting). The Wulfen also should start with 2 wounds (this was a type that still hasn't been fixed in the article section.)

While he's one of the designers of the setting, he's not the designer of the Norse, as far as I know (the only one I know he designed is the dark elves). I'm pretty sure I remember hearing from the guys who actually designed the band that they're human, but with a different starting stat line, so their max stats are human as well (with movement being the obvious exception).

Could someone please tell me which Town Cryers the errata for the Norse warband are in? I know that the ability for all heroes to use the Strength skill set was TC 15. I'm looking for any others, particularly the ones pertaining to the Wulfen.

There is nothing for the Wulfen in any town cryer that gives the updates that I have provided.

The info is from someone who was involved in the Lustria setting.

The ANSWER MODs (me being one of them) from SG Forum have considered it official for many moons.

Don't know if that helps but that is the story.

Hey.

I just came back here to cross reference the characteristics for 'Werecreatures' in Mordheim, again.

Noticed that your post remains unanswered sir. Here is some insight.

Norsemen are northmen. All marauder models have to mounted on 25mm as standard in Warhammer. Therefore all of the models in the Norse Warband (and the BTB Marauders of Chaos warband) require 25mm with the notable exception of animals. Giant Wolves have traditionally used cavalry bases in Warhammer. War dogs in Mordheim and wolves are entitled to use 20mm. I would use 25mm simply because they match the rest of my Norse warband.

Ulfwerenar are not large targets so these werewolves, were-bears or were-badgers* do not require 40mm bases as was suggested elsewhere on this thread. Beorg Bearstruck himself was released on 25mm. I would go so far as to say that anyone using a 40mm bases on a werecreature in an underground game of Mordheim-quest, is a cheating little Blackheart.

*these are official - see Tome of Corruption for more information.

Any model that is not a large target really needs to be using a 20mm or 25mm base. Oh s**t, I just said the B word.
