Just a quick query about does anyone play D&D becuase, i was thinking of starting to play it with a small group of friends but i dont like the wizard minitures so if anyone has a D&D board could you tell me if a normal fantasy square 20mm (i think) base fits in the squares please becuase wizard mini's are overpriced (i cant say cidetal mini's are cheep but there cheeper D&D Anyone? squares are an inch mate. so yes, they'll fit. If you need a hand with anything, give me a shout. Can I suggest that if your starting off you purchase modules, as it kicks the #### out of making your own adventure when you have no experience. If you are playing 3.5 buy the sunless citidel and if your playing 4.0 just browse for one you like.

I haven't for a variety of reasons played D&D since it was AD&D; HOWEVER, I HAVE & DO paint a LOT of minis for a VERY lively D&D campaign. All the medium sized creatures are on 25mm [1"] bases [the DM's call].

If you want a peek at some of the stuff I've done as a way of checking out availabe minis: http://www.edion.desertyeti.com/gallery.html . Have FUN! D&D Anyone? 544694

Are you talking about Wizards of the Coast's D&D minis game, or just D&D the roleplaying game?

If the latter, then (as far as I'm aware) you don't need to use the grid, and really I would recommend against it since it ends up being a little restrictive in movement. Instead, just convert distances into inches and play on an open board. D&D, or any pen and paper RPG for that matter, is really much more about playing out a story then follow any rigid rules for in-game action, and this is largely why you need to have a Dungeon Master - to make decisions for cases that aren't covered in the rulebook.

EDIT: Nice minis, Deaf! thumbsup
