Da Lobba

We finally played all of the scenarios on the campaign list! Well all of the 2 player scenarios... We have played some of them to death, and most not at all. That's the problem with not very many players and a 2d6 chart. But it has worked out in the end.

Unfortunately it took so long to roll the scenario that Jim L and I stopped bringing our rock lobba models along...

All Jim L had was this old paper weight...


Da warbands converge (since the black orcs climbed up the hill first, da Gutrippaz head for the nearby gate)

Cookie an' da 'Eadtaker rode over a bunch of Ballerz. Nameless lost da battle of da Trollz, but da Ballerz had 2 heroes out of action. So they fled.

Da Brazz Ballerz have dere goblin theef kilt ded by da Cookie. Everybody else get better. (I knew what the actual injuries were that night, but I didn't take notes and now I have forgotten.) Da Ballerz gain lotz of underdog bonus, but not much gold.

Da Gutrippaz loze da Gobbo Swab kilt ded by Rigga Top (it was a bad night for gobbo swabz). Said da gobbo sassed him. Nameless get better like usual. Da Gutrippaz free an orc archer from da Big Toof jail. Gain a bit of gold and a nice funny lookin' rock lobba.

@Codsticker--Thank you.  This is the only Big Toof piece of terrain I have actually finished.  (And now it needs to be refurbished as the 3 yrs have taken a toll on the twigs I used.)

Da Rize an' Fall o' da Gobbo--Da Def o' Orcs

Da Tower o' da Sour Man
A Wizard's Mansion fight between da Whitez, Gutrippaz an' da Git Ya Gang

On da outskirts o' Big Toof dere stands a big old tower built by da hummie warlock, da Sour Man.  Sour Man used ta boss around a bunch o' Black Orcs, 'til some o' dem hobbitz an' a treeman stomped on 'em. Lately nobody seen any sign o' life about da place.  Maybe da old git had shuffled off, ya know?  Anywayz da Whitez dey rush over dere an' tries ta take over.  So everybody else tried to stop 'em..

Da Gobboz sneak (With Big Red III)


Da Git Ya shootaz cover da tower from da north.  


But dey squabble




Da Whitez go south


Da shootaz in da tower all clump toward da south an' da Gutrippaz.  No care about gobboz shootin' da 5th orc already...

Da Gutrippaz roll da 10 fer da first rout test!  Which is good 'cause Cookie ded, Sharper One Eye wounded and 'Eadtaker had fall off hiz boar, an no one could save him.  Sharper One Eye an' everybody but Cookie get better.
Cookie Wassis iz rubbed out by da White Shaman, da cheatin' git!  Dere iz much lama'tation an' suchlike.

Da Whitez gives it up da next turn.  Dere lotz o' gobbo in da tower, an da White Shootaz no like ta fight wit da choppaz.  Da Li'l Boar Rida is kilt ded by Cookie Wassis.  A White Henchorc iz kilt ded too.

Da Git Ya Gang Winz number SIX!  Dat li'l gobbo archer git wot fail da animosity, he ded. Da Git Yaz claim all da stuff inna tower, an' git rich.

Note: Orc heroes have died before. Da Noobz lost a Big Un an' da Brazz Brallerz lost a Lads Got Talent Git. Da Whitez an' da Gutrippaz have not suffered though. Da Git Yaz might find them selves high warband again

Da Rize an' Fall o' da Gobbo--Da Great Beer Run

All things must end.  This past Thursday five us met to play out the end of this campaign cycle.  Years ago Jim L built a version of the Bugman's Brewery that was featured in White Dwarf as a custom scenario (just to be clear this is his version of that model NOT that model).  We haven't played on it in forever, so I thought it would be a good way to end the campaign--beating up on stunties; scrappin' over beer.  And so it was...

Da Stunties await their fate.  The brewery was defended by Chad B's Dwarf Treasure Hunters and Jim L's old Dwarf Slayer Pyrates (run by Todd D).










Da Greenskin hordes.  Whitez and Git Ya Gang






Da Gutrippaz had captured a rock lobba a couple of weeks ago...


Da Gutrippaz face da West Wall


The Dwarfs elected to try to escape with da beer. (I foolishly decided to add the big beer barrel wagon to what was supposed to be a last stand scenario.  The idea is that the Slayer Pyrates have found themselves trapped when they come to pick up a shipment of booze.  I gave the dwarf players the option of trying to cut their way out...
So they ran with it...  Before the greenskins can attack the gates open!  But the dwarfs are too slow, the attack begins! (The Greenskin alliance won the roll to move first.)






The Stunties drive on

Turn 2: The fast gobboz reach da wall


The Stuntie handgunner gets lucky (and unlucky.) One shot takes down both goblins carrying a powder keg.  But the bullet misses the keg, which does not explode.


Turn 3: Da wolf is down, but da ogre an squigs hit as a second wave


A gobbo hero obliterates himself and a wall section.  I did not have a good way of showing destroyed walls...  ("On the first turn its only a roll of a '6'," we said... So BOOM!)

This was not the type of game to play in 3 hours, but we tried.

At store closing we were only on turn 4 or so.  But the Greenskins had captured or destroyed 3 wall sections and disabled the wagon for 4 out of the five points needed to win.  The Git Ya Gang was nearly wiped out, but their Squig Prodda Boss was holding his own inside the gate (how was a big question...)

The Hot Heads had nearly fulfilled their goal of being wiped out.  The Treasure Hunters had lost a bunch of heroes, but still had over half of their starting models.

The Whitez lost a few models in the fight at the gate.  A henchorc and a goblin died.

The Gutrippaz only lost  da Mad Bomma III, who followed in da Mad Bomma I and II's footsteps and blew himself up.  This time by rolling a '1' to hit when tossing a bomb at a fellow Gutrippa who said something irritating..

Da Git Ya Gang had Choppa II blown up.  Bubba V fell to a slayer's axe by da gate.  Big Red III did likewise...

It was a great final game, especially since Todd and Chad could join us (and were pretty happy to play the gitz gittin' killed.)

Looks like the Orks were having a Blast... jocolor The Dwarf Fortress and the Barrel on Wheels are truly a sight to see!
