Mordheim’s 20th anniversary in 2019

As Mordheim will be 20 years old next year, I’m interested to know whether anyone will be celebrating the anniversary? If so, how are you going to do it?

Interesting idea. I wasn't that far ahead in my planning. Maybe running a small campaign? What exact month did it come out, some people here will know. Or could this forum bring something up, a new painting competition maybe?

Given the original background & story of Mordheim, holding a massive party may be inappropriate...

What do you reckon are the chances of a second edition from GW in 2019? And/or another round of the golden Toms?

If nothing else, some buddies and I are planning to build new warbands as well as enough terrain for a table for multiplayer games.

I wouldn't hold your breath for any rerelease of Mordheim. They've blown up the setting, which would be a problem, & moved well away from it -- plus, they've released an Age of Sigmar Skirmish game set in a ruined cursed city, & Warhammer Underworlds: Shadespire, which is a skirmish-scale game of highly characterised warbands fighting amongst cursed ruins, so I'd be very, very surprised if they rereleased Mordheim to pull focus from those. Sadly, both of those games are nanty good. Also, Warhammer Quest: Shadows Over Hammerhal seemed intended to fill the niche of slightly darker fantasy narrative play, with sinister cults & plots...

There's also a part of me terrified by what they might do to Mordheim if they did reboot it. They might change it in a way I don't like! Given that it'd almost certainly be made compatible with the god-monster-focussed Age of Sigmar, that is a very real hazard.

What I'd find more plausible is a limited run, made-to-order rerelease of some Mordheim models in the 'Warhammer Legends' range. They've done some old Warhammer models that way in the last few months, & that might be the tribute they give fan-favourite Mordheim.

I didn't even think of some official stuff from GW for MH. The PC game will have been the last thing we will ever hear from that corner.
