Hey there

As I just finished a blog post for my next Mordheim project I thought, why not ask you fellows what you think about Mordheim in a different scale?  Question

I'm going to make some mdf terrain for a 40x40cm Mordheim board to be used with Warmaster models (or other 10-12mm miniatures). My first two drafts come along nicely so far. Very Happy

Still need to work out some kinks and which thickness of mdf to use, but what's a project without problems? Laughing

I've considered this, just because using a smaller table would be great. I ran into problems with the buildings though, it's hard to get a look that I want with space for my fingers to get the minis in.

Yeah, big hands or gross motor skills are probably this scale's natural enemies. That's one of the reasons why I'm going for sturdy mdf scenery instead of some cardboard scratchbuild.

Additionally, I try to make the buildings a tad bigger than true scale so that the models can be placed easier.

This is a project of some ambition... I like it. & I can definitely understand the appeal of a wargame that needs less space.

I think my first tip would be to get a pair of tweezers, maybe the cross-locking sort, & put some packing foam (or similar) around the jaws. Big hands will then be less of an impediment (gross motor skills are beyond my solution, sadly). I'd also advise using more smashed walls, or barn doors, than regular doorways as entries to buildings. They'll just be that much easier to use...

Otherwise good luck with the project! You seem to have made a good start with those designs, & I look forward to seeing how it comes on.
