Welcome back ta BIG TOOF!

Players and Warbands
Chris S--Savage Orcs (Karak Azgul)
Jake L--Da Mob
Jim L--Da Mob
Jim S--Da Mob
John K--Da Mob

There is not too much Green diversity in warband choice although none of Da Mobs has the same approach. Kevin and Brittany were away this week, so maybe next week will see a few different warbands (there are still rumors of goblins).


Da Lobba
The Savages fought Da Shakiest Shoota Boyz

Mr. L is going for the shoota mob again.  Its working about as well as it did last year.

Chris's unpainted pirate mob, is now a savage mob...  And my stuff is mostly in storage so no lobba.




Da Shakiest Shoota Boyz still cain't hit nuffin'.


Da Shakiest Shooties take 'em down the hard way.






Oh, oh...White Orcs!


Da Shakiest Shootas wuz doin' purty good, but dem White Orc boyz decide not ta run.  Shakiest run after a bit.

Da Shakiest lose a big un an' da gobbos and da squig.

One of da huts collapsed but no body wuz rubbed out.

Da Gutrippas scamper with da too boyz down.  Cookie gain attack.

Da darker Greys lose like 3 gobbos.

Da Greys win, (cuz dey gits!)

Conclusions and such:
~~Havin' da Troll did na do much good. Everyone ganged up on da ladz, an' da Nameless go stupid.
~~Of the six goblins dat start da campaign, 5 die inna first game! Ditto da one squig.
~~All da Mobs do a little bit different:
--Da Shakiest Shootas iz trying da shooty orc thing again. Its working a little worse than last year...
--Gitrippas: See above for troll thoughts.
--Da Greys got a humie Warlock. Dey win, but likely cause o' how da set up worked out.
--Da Dark Greys try ta do EVERYTHING, shoot/fight/goblins

Da White Savages ambush da Greys

Dis iz kinda confuzin' cause both sides gots da white heroes and da grey henchies...




Da White Savages runned away.  Greys win.  During the fight the event Power o' da Waagh! happened, but no body blowed up.

A Big Toof variant of Roundup at the Mordheim Corral fought between Da Shakiest Shootas, Da Gutrippas an' Da Dark Greyz

Historical Note:  Last year Mr L's warband lost this scenario 5 times out of 5...

Da Shakiest Shoota Mob looks over da fight.


While da boarz mutate an' stomp gitz, Nameless da Troll sing a happy song an' do nuffin'...


Da Dark Greyz tame too boarz (an get sorta stomped on in da process).

John wins the Memorial Bob award for Headless Orcs this year, at least if Bob remains AWOL...
John is also following the Boar Path that Chris' White Orcs followed last year.
Chris is following the Lenglade Path of Dead Heroes...

Da Chance Encounters
We started the evening with four players. We split into 2 separate fights, but both rolled the same scenario...

Da Shakiest versus Da Gutrippas

Gutrippas have 2 wyrdstone shards, Shaky gits gots 3.
Da Gutrippas


Da Shakiest Shootas back away an' tries ta hide.




Da Gutrippas fall inna trap! (I forgot Flagon was a hero... My first charge ends with a hero and a henchman ooa... And a failed rout test is next. Short game.)
A Press Ganga is kilt
Flagon survives.

No Shakys is even hurt a little. Shakys get 4 shards plus exploration for income. An find a Drunken Gobbo wat dey welcome into da tribe as well.

By now both tribes are suffering the event BAD OMENS. No one can hurt anyone, but lots of dice are being rolled.




One or the other tribe just give up as soon as dey can, cause da game drag on. Bad Omens may need a bit of a re-write. Might be Da Greyz wot lose. Hard ta tell. An Uppity Gobbo might have been kilt as well (John would have 6 heroes if gobbos could be heroes...)

More mutating boars to come...

Bad Omens sounds like an average Congressional session; i.e., a lot of noise & time with nothing accomplished. That aside, COOL LOOKING GAMES despite all the gray...mostly. clown

Thanks Al. I don't know why I can never anticipate how annoying it is to re-roll EVERY successful roll... I'm just evil I guess.
(That and the fact that if I include an annoying event, it will be the most rolled event. (NEVER seen the wild squig herd or the loose ball and chain fanatic rolled at all...)

Chaos at the Big Toof Corral
The Greys and Da Dark Greys go at it again. Dis time in the next installment of da Great Boar Warz.

Dere wuz 4 duppy boarz, see.


Da Dark Grey shaman tries ta tame da boar...


So does da Grey shaman...


3 boarz wandered (or charged) inta da Dark Greyz, dis un draw lotz o' Dark Greyz.


Da Dark Grayz fail da first rout test. Dey still gitz 2 boars. Da Grayz got one, an one was kilt. (not sure if da Gray boar lived or not. It wuz beat up a bit.) No deaths are reported as the rout wuz caused by gitz leavin' da table wit boarz, not scrappin'.

(Chris showed up just as our first game ended and the Bad Omens game only had one boyz out of action. So we just started a 3-player.)

Dere a Chimera inna a ruin!






Da Shootaz spend a LONG time out flanking da Gutrippaz... But it works


Da Gobbo fails da animosity and fights da White heroes. (Da Shootaz lose da gobbos and da squig dis to da White heroes)


Dis iz da Squig Hound event, wot almost kill a White hero...


Cookie finally cast Ger' Off on da Chimera, pushing it into da Shoota boyz.






Den da git Shoota boyz shoot da Cookie and da Gutrippaz run.


Da Gutrippaz run first wit da Cookie an Yo 'and da Nife ooa. Gimp da Pressganga die. Cookie and Yo 'and get betta.

Da Savage fight ta da end, cause da Shootaz' boyz git real killy wit dem daggerz. One Eye da Spotta becomes Old No Eye an' retire, like. Brute Numba ONE get rubbed out. An' da Utter Nutta get rubbed out too.

Da Shakiest Shootaz hang on ta take da Chimera down. No body die. Da Shakyz gain 11 teef an' a helmet. (ONE 4+ out of ELEVEN attempts! A new record)

Dat all 'til next week.

On da painted minis score: da first game boasted a Lizard Guy possibly a Gay Gecko.
Da second had a PROPA LOOKIN' Mob of Orc Guyz. WELL DONE, those Guyz!
Both were GREAT GAMES from my perspective! thumbsup

Looks like a fun campaign -- but I have to say, what really gets me feeling all warm & fuzzy is the sight of indestructible cardcraft scenery filling up the board. Relics of Gorkamorka are fitting obstacles for ork mobs!

Rhydderch@I think only Chris and John actually played Gorkamorka (but the card scenery is all Mr. L's).  Also represented is The Idol of Gork campaign pack (huts, ruins and idols).

I do hope to have some crazy chariot Gorkamorkaness, but only time will tell on that.  (I have two events and exploration results that can result in a warband acquiring a chariot.)

Number of Gobbos kilt by Nameless da Troll: 3

Observations about da Orcs an stuff:
~Nameless da Troll draw a lot of fire.  Folks are remembering to shoot Grootka da Boss.  Not good.  Grootka T5 now though, so its a bit harder for 'em.
~I really have no idea what to do with the Nameless.  Da ladz keep dyin', which wuz not inna plan.  Gutrippaz iz da smallest warband.  Alwayz gettin' mobbed!
~Cookie no can roll above 6!  Make his spell useless.
~Stupid Dark Grayz gots 4 boar now.  Not good.

Idol of Gork, that's the name I was looking for. I knew I recognised the huts & idol, I just couldn't remember the pack name.

Chariot-based Gorkamorkaness would be... interesting. Especially if you followed the old Gorkamorka rule that a vehicle can carry as many models as will physically fit.

Gobbos don't seem to be coming out of this campaign well. Or at all, if those death numbers keep up.

Dere wuz 6 or 7 potential snotz, but it dark, so dem snotz might not BE snotz.

Da Shakiest Shootaz ogre attack da Savage Squig Hound (dats a Squig Hound, really)


Da Shakiest Shootaz ogre win (until next turn, lotz o' Savages dere)


More bunglin' inna dark (at one point all 6 Gutrippa heroes were knocked down either because they tripped in the dark or were pushed over by the maddened crowd.  There was a crowd or orc an goblin towns folk, honest.)


One o' dem snotz wuz a squig!


Dis snot wuz a mean Red Toof gobbo.  (Kilt da git ded)




Savages tries ta out flank da Shaky gitz. (Its dark and windy, all dem arrows iz nothin')

End game.  Headtaka try ta scrag Sparky II


Da Savages run early.  One of 'em may have been kilt.  Dey caught a squig, an 2 snotz.

Da Shakiest Shootaz take some convincin' but scram too.  Da Hired Ogre named Tiny get kilt, so do a gobbo name Little Pete II.  Shakys catch a Red Toof gobbo.
An orc boy named Da Loon become da first LGT Shaky hero.

Nobody die on da Gutrippa side.  Gutrippaz capture a squig (out of 6 possible snotz, only 2 snotz were actually encountered), but kill a Red Toof.  All 6 heroes survive a game for once.  Gutrippaz win first game!

More orciness to come...

Big Toof Treasure Hunt

We had time for two multi-player games!  The second game also took place at night (because the Savages fear the Shakiest Shootaz 3 crossbows.  This phobia has no basis in reality, I think the most they have ever done is stun Cookie da Shaman...)

So we faced off in the dark as it were, searching for the wyrdstone that had recently fallen on Big Toof...
Da White Savages


Da Shakys got dis close to wyrdstone...(Note da troll is both new and doing nothing but resting.)


OK.  Dey got dis close...an den da Savages hit 'em.


An' den da BAD OMENS happen... (This time I tried "Bad Omens cause all henchmen who are not animals or immune to psychology to count as STUPID as the henchmen try to appease the gods with prayers and ritual.")

Den da Nameless hit da flank


Mr L caves to peer pressure and attacks with his 4 attack "shooty" Boss.  Boss no hit nuthin'.




Da Gutrippaz view


Da Shakys leg it otta dere.  

A Nutta and da White Shaman (dats da git wit da spear) gang up on Nameless cuz he stoopid...


Yo'and da Nife show dat Nutta not ta pick on da stoopid.


So da Shakiest Shootaz got ganged up on and pounded.  Dey flee wit Sparky II out of action.  An orc boy called Da Smell got kilt, ded.  Fish Head da Troll did nuffin', like not even move once.  Da Shakys git no treasure or wyrdstone or nuffin'.

Da Savages had dere squig go wild on da first turn, cuz dey ain't got no gobbos.  Da Savages cut up da Shakys wit no hurts, but den tings go wrong.  Da Savage Boss got shot and dey bug out.  A Nutta an' da Squig Hound git kilt, ded.  Da Savages steal 3 wyrdstone though.
A Brute get da Ladz got da Talent.

Da Gutrippa win again!  Datz 2 fights won!  Nobody git hurt much, so nobody die.  Da Gutrippas capture 4 wyrdstones and make lotz o' teef.  More boyz, more stuff!

Da Gutrippaz~~~~~~Win 2/Lose 4 (1 hero kilt, ded)
Da White Savages~~Win 1/Lose 4 (1 hero kilt, 1 go blind)

Number o' gobbos left alive: 7
Number o' gobbos kilt ded so far: 10
Number o' gobbos kilt by Nameless da Troll: 3

So NEXT week I already know that Chris is going to be out of town...

Hehe, I got the "Nameless"-mini myself somehow. Always wanted to make a Slann out of him. But then I'm not into Lizardmen, so...
Great idea to go for all-greenskins-warbands. I want to talk my buddies into something like that with all Vampire or all Skaven.
Where does this Bad Omens rule come from? Maybe you explained, but I vouldn's find it browsing the reports here.

We tried the all-undead a few years ago, but one player (who often plays undead) wouldn't go along.  Will never know why...

Sorry about the Bad Omens reference.  Its a made up Random Happening that I originally used in our Pyrates of the Karribean games.
