Tears of Blood
by Wyldhunt and son
“Remarkably though, the statue of Count Gottard still looks over the remains of the once splendid city that he founded, now an ugly scar upon the landscape. Some say that tears of blood flow down the cheeks of the statue as if the long dead Count weeps for his proud city, now known as the City of the Damned.” – City of the Damned, part 3, Town Cryer 23.
“Hey, Boink! Lookee that statue! Gotta be magic in that blood! Let’s git it!” And so the sneaky goblins set up tubes and containers to gather the Tears of Gottard. It took some tinkering, but they did find magic in the tears, healing magic, even to ones the long-dead Count slayed by the score. The goblins were successful in hiding their enterprise for a while, quickly spiriting away when anyone came close, but today, luck is not with the goblins, for more than one enemy approaches…
TERRAIN
As normal, except that the Statue of Count Gotthard is placed in the middle of the battlefield, and 6” around the status is clear of buildings (rubble may be placed in this clearing as normal).
WARBANDS
Before player warband placement, set the Goblin Shaman, and three Gobbos per player warband, as close as possible around the Statue of Count Gotthard. Then setup player warbands as normal.
STARTING THE GAME
As normal.

Skedaddle! Each round, the goblins will take their turn after all player warbands. Any goblin not caught in the effects of Animosity or in melee, knocked down, stunned, etc., will move/run, following a path towards the closest edge of the battlefield while staying as far as possible from enemies.
Vials of Tears. Each Gobbo (not the Goblin Shaman) carries one vial containing Tears of Gottard. If a model with a vial is taken out of action, place a vial token where the model fell. An experience-earning model can pick up a vial token. Vials may not be passed between models during this scenario. Models carrying vials can move off the battlefield.
Jars of Tears. The Goblin Shaman carries two jars containing Tears of Gottard. If a model with the jars is taken out of action, place a jars token where the model fell. An experience-earning model can pick up the jars token. The jars may not be passed between models during this scenario. A model carrying the jars can move off the battlefield.
ENDING THE GAME
The game ends when none of the goblins remain on the battlefield, and either:
• There is only one player warband left on the battlefield.
• The jars and all vials have left the battlefield with at least one jar/vial taken off by a player warband model.
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE
• +1 for Carrying the Jars or a Vial. If a hero or henchman carries the jars or a vial off the board (or holds it at the end of the scenario), he receives 1 Experience. Each henchman group may only earn 1 Experience from this category
TREASURE
Tears of Gottard. While the Tears are not immediately useful as a healing balm, they can be sold to an apothecary, witch doctor, or the like to be mixed into Healing Herbs. Each vial is worth 5gc, while the two jars are worth 40gc together.
