I would like to see clear statement in rules where it's said that warrior's Weapons/Armour availability/restrictions means also Miscellaneous equipment. Is there such?
Also, when misc. equipment turned out to be Weapons/Armour? Like, is rope & hook weapon or Armour?
As I have seen restrictions in weapons and Armour for some warriors, but there is no any statement that hero warrior wouldn't have access to Miscellaneous equipment.
If Weapons/Armour restricts misc. equipment too, so it would be apply to all hero warriors, as the rule says i.e. Champions: "... may be equipped with weapons and Armour chosen from the Mercenary Equipment list." There should be: "... from Mercenary Equipment list and Miscellaneous Equipment."

Also, some say that the Possessed may not have equipment, still he gets Chaos Armour and Weapon? And even if like magister rolls Possessed in Rewards of the Shadowlord, there is no mention about losing all misc. equipment, but armour and weapons only.

My guess is that Weapons/Armour means only the starting gear and is specified for different type of warriors and it has nothing to do with misc. equipment. Those are even separated in different sections in rules.

Not in the core rulebook

The core rulebook differentiates between weapons, armour and miscellaneous equipment.
Rope & Hook is miscellaneous equipment.

From the core rulebook:
"You may buy additional equipment between battles, but your warriors can only use the weapons and armour listed in their warband entry."

This information is only from the rulebook, but at least it is as official as it gets. Smile

Why? The actual rules are the opposite. Any restrictions on Miscellaneous equipment are included in the rules for the relevant equipment or in FAQs

Its not. Ever. They are defined in the rules (and in general language use) as different things.

The anonymous 'some' are correct. They are quoting the rule book as written.

Um, HOW could a Possessed get these things? (Possessed are barred by rule from visiting the Shadow Lord.) There is a level of confusion inherent in naming a warrior and a warband AND an event the same. The Possessed who is a hero type of the Possessed warband can not have weapons and armour. A hero (magister or mutant) who becomes possessed may carry his chaos weapon and wear his chaos armour.

Mordheim Rulebook 2005 Part III p.118 wrote:
12 Possessed! A Daemon
takes over the soul and body of
the warrior. He immediately
gains +1 Weapon Skill, +1
Strength, +1 Attacks and +1
Wounds. These increases do not
count towards his maximum
characteristics. The warrior loses
D3 of his skills (chosen by the
player) and may no longer use
weapons or armour, except for
Chaos Armour or Daemon
weapons.

That would be a good guess. But Weapons/Armour remains a restriction unless the warrior gains a skil which allows him to expand his choice of weapons (melee or missile).

Thanks for great answers!
I got what I needed.

Yea, sorry I forgot to correct that only magister and mutant gets those RoS rolls. Another question risen from this Possessed! -roll. Magister/Mutant is not using the Possessed restrictions, like access for Tears of Shallya and they still can use drugs, as they are not the actual "the Possessed"?

Why I wanted to know this is because some people claim that ghoul can't get misc equipment when rolling LGT, but he actually can as you said misc. eq. is a different thing and restrictions in Weapons/Armour apply only to, well, weapons and armour.
And for the Possessed access to misc. eq. is obvious.

Per the rules: "... Undead and Possessed warriors may not use the Tears of Shallaya."

For the Cult of the possessed warband, my interpretation is that this refers to everyone rather than just "The possessed" heroes. Anybody else play it differently?

As I took that as an (inaccurate) example, I wouldn't allow Undead or Possessed warband to use it at all. And I think that it actually means whole warband, since in drugs and poisons, there is stated: "... has no effect on Undead such as Vampires and Zombies, or the Possessed.", but with the Tears of Shallya restriction is for Undead and Possessed. Difference is "the", but is the warband's official name "Cult of the possessed" or "Possessed"? "Possessed" name (without the) is used for warrior the Possessed in the Choice of warriors section, so this would be one assumption that Tears are actually forbidden only from those guys, not from the whole warband. I don't know about these inaccuracies...
Anyway, maybe they can't use it at all and I was just confused about this slight difference. Smile

I know these are little things, but it's that I'm playing with Witch Hunters now, but I'm starting with the Undead soon and later with the Cult of the possessed, so I need to check all the possibilities (and downsides) for these guys.
