PostSubject: Kodsticklerburg: A Mordheim Project   Sun 2 Oct 2016 - 17:18

Hello Tom's Boring Morheim Forumites!
Many years ago I bought the rulebook and Best of Town Cryer on ebay. I also picked up a couple of the Blood in the Streets sets. I painted a troll slayer and that was it for the project ... until this fall. After chatting to a couple of buddies I decided that my winter project was going to be a Mordheim table. The first buildings are under way and I hope to update my blog and this thread on a regular basis.

One building is finished...

... and another one on the way:

I hope to make additions to my blog on a regular basis...

Thank you Jymmy...

I have an update... but not an impressive one. This second building has involved a lot of faffing around  Mad.
Some early WIP...

... and a little further along:

A few factors have kept me from updating my blog but finally... These pictures are actually a few months old. I have since finished both these buildings as well as a another and have done a number of bits of scatter terrain: barrels, boxes, rubble barrier a cart, that sort of thing. It may be a while before I find time to take and post pictures of those but I have enough terrain now to make a pretty decent 3'x3' board. I have another 4 buildings waiting in the wings and possibly a large scratch built ruin using the leftovers of my Blood in The Streets plastic bits.

Blog Update.

You have some BEAUTIFUL creations there. The accessory pieces are really nice accents to the larger ruins...I love the well & the tree. VERY WELL DONE!   thumbsup

As usual, more pictures on my blog.

SPLENDID! Two different but complimentary styles. I like the exposed stone work on the Warlord piece, AND I agree with Grimscull that the moss is a nice touch. Both are BEAUTIFULLY painted & properly cluttered up. VERY WELL DONE! thumbsup

You certainly make the most out of the Warlord-hamlets. How many of them are in there? And as DeafNala said, it was worth the effort! thumbsup

Thank you guys.

There  are three buildings in the Hamlet box. Pretty good value actually but they are quite tiny. Perfrect for 20mm WW2 gaming I would think; which is a little wierd as Warlord makes 28mm figures.

Warlord does make some really nice miniatures, but they don't all seem to be the same size. Their English Civil War are tiny, much smaller than G.W's stuff. G.W's buildings aren't exactly imposing either...except for the number of skulls plastered all over them. clown
