Week Eighteen--Fear The Fluffy!

Players and Warbands
Chris--Witch Hunters
Jim S--Guhtani (Relics of the Crusades)
Jim L--Undead
Kevin--Marienburgers

The Guardians
The Undead race the Cult of Mary Ann for a well guarded treasure.

The Cult advances through the torch lit corridors... Fluffy is off by himself, lurking.

The Undead must take the long way around.

Still the vampires are already in the treasure chamber.

The Guardians attack!

The Guardians fall easily to the vampires. Then the guy with the big sword attacks!

And Fluffy!

The Mary Anns are everywhere!

The Undead flee with one vampire down. They gain one treasure counter, but whatever it was it is dust by the time the Undead flee the tomb. The new vampire takes a chest wound. It is possible that ghouls died.

The Cult of Mary Ann gain some gold and the Ring of the Djinn (A major artifact and Relic of the Crusades). Not sure if any Mary Anns even went out of action...

More to come...

The Battle of the Maze of Souls
A rather anti-climactic Khemri version of The Lost Mines

The Ghutani entered from the east and south edge of the maze... Orange counters are traps. Sarcophagi are encounters.

A confrontation at the southwest corner...

The Mad Djinn Binder lagged behind...

The Ghutani trapped the heretic's lone male witch hunter.  The Witch Hunters fled after he fell. He survived with a full recovery.  I think they all survived...

The Ghutani suffered no permanent causalities and found a nice treasure.  The traps and encounters of the scenario had little impact on the game.  Babiars gains a Lamp of the Djinn... Mir Sher gains a Holy Tome from her Lamp.  Al Bobo loses all of his weapons with a poorly worded wish.  All of the warbands' extra swords disappear as well.  The warband trades a the Cheating Merchant...

The Skirmish of the Pillars
The Witch Hunters pummel the Undead

The ghoul pack falls upon the hired ogre.

The ogre falls...

The counter attack swept the Undead away. "Ghoul L. G. T. Horace V died."

No idea what happened with the victorious Hunters.
__________________________________________________________________________________
The Skirmish of the Corridor
The Ghutani find the Cult of Mary Ann to be unstoppable

The Ghutani PLAN to meet the Mary Anns in a narrow corridor where only a couple of models can fight at a time...BAD plan.

Oh look there are fewer Ghutani (including the loss of Mir Sher)

Casualties so far...

This looks better than it was...

The Ghutani lose 6 models including Mir Sher, The Mad Djinn Binder, Haroum the Wanderer and Al Bobo. A veteran flagellant dies. Mir Sher hates the Cult of Mary Ann. The Djinn Binder Hates Lord Barrington. Haroum had a full recovery, Al Bobo is hardened.

A Mary Ann crossbowman dies. The Mary Anns trade at Al Haikk. The Ghutani find themselves with the Cheating Merchant... Babiars Lamp of the Djinn produces a Genie Hired Sword.

I think this is the last post possible before Christmas. So Merry Christmas!

Week Nineteen--The Ghutani get mauled by the Cult of Mary Ann
It was sad for the Ghutani (Rating 545). More veteran flagellants died. The Assassin died. The Tomb Robber died...

Photos might appear. At present they are vacationing in New York...

Week Twenty--The Final Battle

Players and Warbands
Bob--Tomb Guardians (Khemri website version)
Chris--Witch Hunters
Jim S--Guhtani (Relics of the Crusades)
Jim L--Undead

It started as a three player game. The Witch Hunters were between the Undead and the Ghutani...

The Ghutani get the northeast stair.

The Undead are alone on the south side...

The Ushabti await in the tomb.

A group of Tomb Robbers appear between the Witch Hunters and Undead. They join the Witch Hunters.

Bob arrives. Suddenly its a race for the southwest entrance to the tomb.

Haroum and the Djinn Binder (and their escort encounter the Heretic's ogre.

The Ghutani rapidly approach the Northeast entrance to the tomb. The ghost represents the Ghutani's Genie Hired Sword. Its fleeing from a random event. It will not rally.

A second group of Tomb Robbers arrive near the Ghutani.

The Mummies attack the Undead!

Haroum and the Djinn Binder confront the Heretic Priest.

Meanwhile most of the Heretics reach the Northeast entrance (after the Ghutani have mostly entered the tomb).

Haroum fires his blunderbuss. The enemy flagellent and assassin are out of action.

The Ghutani heroes confront Thoth Amon! And lots of his minions...

The Undead are knocking on the door.

The final confrontation in the tomb. Bella the Possessed and Valten II against Al Bobo, Babiars and Yukab Beg.

The Silver Mummy attacks the necromancer...

The March of the White. The painted models top left of the photo are the Undead casualty pile.

This dungeon setup is bonkers!
The tombs look utterly amazing. Great investment.

Congratulations for putting such great tables together! cheers
The art of good, believable table-setting is a thing in itself (and time-consuming!).

Dungeon/underground scenarios need some love: there is great opportunity for some awesome dungeon-crawling experiences in the rules!

Keep up the good work guys! thumbsup

Thanks Nuno, I've passed your compliment along to Jim L.  He built these years ago.  We get them out whenever we are in Khemri or Lustria for tombs and catacomb exploration.

We always set up the whole maze first and rely on counters for potential traps and random rolls to generate random encounters. We have never taken the time to play the place a tile as you enter it types of scenarios because we think it will take too long (it seems to take forever to set up a maze as it is.)

I really enjoy the games as a change of pace.
