Today Tree #2 got some attention in the form of a layer of textured/teased hot glue & a coating/sculpting layer of air dry clay (Premier):

The clay is drying nicely. Once it's hard, I'll hit it with a spray of Workable Fixative (Krylon); then it's paint time. clown

Thanks, Codsticker. I am glad you like them. There is a push by some fellows on other fora to give them little faces. This batch will stay faceless...I think. What a Face

So far today I have added some wire branches & done some green stuffing to Tree #3.
The Face is pretty much done...green stuff-wise that is:

...later the same day, while I was hot glue coating the branches, I did up a Little Monk to live under some of the roots:

Taking a step backward to put the Monk in size perspective to the Tree:

He is a towering 10mm tall. clown

Small monk or big tree? Either way he should probably stay clear of those teeth... Great weird stuff as always!

Thanks for the reply, Rhydderch. It is a case of both a Big Tree & a Little Monk; they seem to go together. What a Face

The branches are now hot glued & the trunk has a sculpted coating of DAS air dry clay. In 36 hours it will be ready for some paint. SO here's what Tree #3 looks like now:

AND the Little Monk got a touch up:

Until whenever... clown

Ohh! Whatever that white thingy is, it looks like an upside down crescent moon seen through the branches. Creepy thumbsup

That is my florescent lamp. It's one of those ones that at one time had a magnifying lens in the center...the lens was a distant memory when John gave me the lamp. I have my camera set for florescent light & I shoot through the magnifying lens hole. It's a strange arrangement, but it works for me.
The crescent moon is a nice little bonus effect. It does look suitably creepy. clown
