SO I was rather productive today; i.e., I did the doors, added the chimney pipes, tiled the roof, & did my white over black base coat:

...AND†on the board:

...ON TO #5!
That will be tomorrow. I also went for the larger case for the Swamp Thing:

...that wraps it for today! †clown

As threatened, Building #5, starting with views of each side & closeups of doors & points of interest:

...before the base coat:

...AND†after:

Now a few photos of the new addition on location in The Blight:

Next up will either be Building #6 of 11 or window treatments...possibly both. †clown pig

I like the odd angles and appropriate masonry stress fractures of #6. Iím so used to seeing all those spooky faces on your buildings that Iím even seeing ones that Iím not sure are intentional like on pic number eight of your last post just above the exposed bricks on the left side. Maybe just too much coffee. The doors are unique and creative (love the submarine hatch handles). Those angled pics make for some great eye candy. Lastly, to sound like a broken recordÖ more Swamp Thing!

Thanks for the reply, Doc...glad you like it.†
You're not alone; i.e., a few other Folk have started seeing faces that aren't there...surrealistic suggestion.
I couldn't decide what to work on today. SO I made a couple of Mushrooms that might like life in The Swamp. † What a Face

Thanks, Jim. It's cooking along nicely. The texture is for the most part natural to the foam with a little assistance from Woodland Scenic's Foam Putty. † clown

While I was figuring out the next two buildings for The Blight, I had nothing to keep my hands & eyes occupied, ERGO, I made some more Mushrooms. While working on the one seen on the far left, its cocktail stick armature snapped; the fix left the Little Guy with more animation than normal. It looked cool to moi; SO†I tried it on the rest of the Guys...except the armless ones:

AND what I was thinking about while I making Mushrooms was the ruined upper stories of Building #6 (#7 will be the one with the currently pick top). Now I have a good idea what it will eventually look like. This is what is for sure:

...the third floor floor:

...the second floor & below:

After much gnashing of teeth metaphoricaly & some expressions that the clergy don not know, I have Building #6 (The Hungry Eye) all done up in black & white. For ease of painting, I have the Beasty in pieces that fit well enough together that for the time being no gluing is required.†SO†it's photos time:
The interior of the upper floors:

...the stair well exterior:

...The Thing on the Ground Floor...insert B Horror Movie theme music here:

The Blight is coming along amazingly strong! You consistently churn out creativity like a machine. Steam driven, of course. The way you built the ruins to showcase that eye peering hole in the floor is impressive. The newly, initially accidental, animated morels are a definite improvement. The little guy on the far left who started the new movement, literally and figuratively speaking, reminds me of an old cartoon/costumed character I canít quite place. First Iím seeing faces in your buildings that arenít there and now Iím fixated on a mushroom face with some yet unidentifiable link to my childhood. Dammit Alan! Your work is driving me normal!

Each structure is a work of art in itself but when seen together in all their odd angled glory itís mesmerizing. Iíve read enough of your posted works both here and on LAF to realize that your art can often be best complimented with just two words, so here it goes. OH BABY!

The remaining buildings have been blocked out; i.e., I've done their basic shapes. This will give you an idea what the finished piece will look like...at least an image of just how crowded it is.

AND a couple of overhead shots:

...getting there is more than half the FUN!clown

I envision mad, slovenly dwarfs stumbling across The Blight while being stalked by ghouls and zombies carrying casks of hard cider wearing cooking pots for hats. Looking forward to seeing what your imagination comes up with.
