Bunch of questions! Empty
PostSubject: Bunch of questions!   Bunch of questions! Icon_minitimeTue 7 Jul 2015 - 22:44

Bunch of questions I've had;

1. Looking at the Night Goblin Warband list via Karak Azgal, and it looks like Fanatic never made a Maximum Characteristics chart for Goblins - or did they? I'm aware Nemesis Crown has one for their Forest Goblins warband.

2. In the Albion Barbarians Warband, they have a special skill named "Attack Howl" - this is what it says in the PDF;

Barbarians always use war howls when fighting each other. This Barbarian is a real master, capable of imitating the howls of wild beasts. If a warrior with this skill charges, he recieves a bonus of +2 instead of +1 for charging.

...So, what does he receive? It doesn't specify. And it can't be attacks because AFAIK you don't get bonus attacks from charging, and there is a 2nd skill here named "Savage Fury" that gives you +1A on the charge.

3. Albion Dramatis Personae "Gaz Er Unga Og" and "Im Abav Yub" are both listed on the Mordheimer page, but I can't find their original source - they're not listed in the original Town Cryer that introduced the Albion setting. Also, where the hell did the Mordheimer even get a copy of the Albion Barbarians PDF?

4. In the Karak Azgal I'm sure everyone has going around, it doesn't have a good amount of Dramatis Personae and/or Hired Swords available from their old website. Were they just never printed in the PDF?

-----------------------------------------------------------

I'll be keeping this thread open for a while just because I'm going to be having a lot of questions in next couple of weeks for my Mordheim project that hopefully will be up and running soon Very Happy

Why would Fanatic make a Maximum Charactersitics chart for Goblins for the Karak Azgal setting? Also in Warhammer Fantasy Night Goblins had different maximum characteristics than regular goblins...

A guess would be that they receive +2 Attacks, since there is a skill that gives them +1 attack as you noted. The author may have intended the reader to connect the skills' rules...or he may not.

Mordheimer is a member of this forum so you may PM him, or he may be contacted directly from the Mordheimer site (or at least he used to be able to be contacted). I'd ask him first.

The ones listed in the PDF are all I've ever seen from that setting. Do you have some evidence of the existence of others? They may have been comfortable with the existing hired swords available...

I wasn't talking about the Karak Azgal setting in particular - I was just asking if somewhere down the line Fanatic/GW ever released Maximum Characteristics for Goblins since to my knowledge, there is none. Therefore there is no chart that could be used for the Night Goblins.

I also had no idea about the WHFB Night Gobbos having different ones, what were the differences?

Listed right on the website, see for yourself.

In Warhammer 7th edition Night Goblins were +1 initiative and -1 Leadership compared to regular goblins.

Thanks for the link to the old website.

I'm not sure of your interest in the Hired Swords missing from the PDF, so I'm not sure if this information is relevant. However Fanatic #7 did publish a Halfling Thief Hired Sword and the Old Prospector was published by the Nemesis Crown campaign. Also there are several versions of Night Goblin warbands on the web, so a maximum stats for Night Goblins should be able to be established using information provided in the warbands or from an edition of WHFB.

I saw those as well! Was it a Fanatic news latter or email or something?

Also, where did you find other versions of the Night Goblins? I only ever found the KA one

The h. thief was published in Fanatic magazine #7 (I don't have a copy of the magazine myself so I couldn't tell you what page).

The Old Prospector was published as part of the Nemesis Crown release and may still be downloaded from the website.

Night Goblin warbands:
Well the one hosted on the Karak Azgul website lists itself as 2. something.  Terry Maltman has one that is hosted on Mordheimer that is 3.something.  If they are the same warband, Mordheimer's is the most recent version.

Benjaminograpy has one version that he is working on--

And there is Pathfinder Dubstyles warband linked above.

Next up, whats the story behind the Nemesis Crown supplement? Was it originally published in FO magazine, then released later here? http://cianty.ashtonsanders.com/nc/

Is the Website version the latest, errata'd version? I'd assume so.

The answer is yes to all of your questions about NC. The website contains errata'd versions of the rules.

Awesome. Is it the same situation with the "Relics of the Crusades" released in the Fanatic Online magazine? I've got their website here;

http://www.accursedknowledge.0catch.com/mordheim.htm

It seems like a jumble of random information during Mordheim's lifetime.

I don't know much about the history or creators of Relics of the Crusades.

Firuz_the_Accursed is a member of the forum.  He was never very active so I don't know the status of his account, but he did respond to questions about the Clan Skryre warband.  You could try contacting him.

Is there a link to Relics stuff on the Accursed Knowledge website?

I'm not sure what 'the same situation' is. Nemesis Crown was a project done in conjunction with one of GW's global campaigns.  Relics was pretty much a volunteer effort by one gaming group (as far as I know anyway).
