| Gonna post what I think is post worthy in this thread. Hopefully it will keep me motivated to paint also! Recently started a new campaign, and stepped out of my (possessed) comfort zone, and decided to play with skaven. I have been collecting and modding them for a while, and I think I have all my bases covered. They have been working out awesomely for me so far. However, I think I may be losing friends Two different sins one /w FCs the other with Weeping blades. Gotta have choices! Again, two different sorcs. One if I get Melee ups and spells, one to stay casty Black Skaven Choices Wanted to use some warplocks, so I got a Blackskaven a BS up and found some. My brother played Gunnery school for a bit, Decided to adopt his style Night runners First skills I take on Night runners is weapon specialist, infiltrate and quickshot Have a friend that plays shadow warriors sometimes, So I stole his color scheme for my bow skaven. (still searching for that elf bow!) | |

| Great models, very well painted My favorite is the Gunnery School because he looks like a pi-rat to me. I have never seen a skaven with a bow. Our lads tend to go crossbow/blunderbuss with a hochland long rifle ambition. | |

| Love the warband especially the chosen 30mm round bases with lips are a great choice ( I use them too obviously) | |

| Thanks! loves me some circle bases. Have a mold for them and just pour my own when I run low. Simple and clean with the stone pattern. Want to do another style for my future warbands, but haven't decided what.
The Bow skaven came about as a joke originally, friend played shadow warriors and tormented me. So I decided I needed my own, but didn't want to play a silly elf. Also, we had originally house ruled that xbows can't benefit from quick shot, but changed it back. I have since decided to mod a skaven representing each one of the peoples warbands that plays in my group. Hence the pistol rat with the feather hat for Nuln. So, Two down, 6 to go. 5 if I count the skull faced Night runner as undead.
Ill try to get some shots of the Dark Elves I painted for another player this friday when we play.

| Looks great. The FC Assassin figure - I assume you've chopped the blades off and replaced them with plastic FC's? How easy is this to do? Is the left arm (the one going under) seperate from the body? | |

| Got some cell phone pics of the Dark elves I painted for a friend in my gaming group. First off is his leader. He really wanted a Malekith on foot, so I modded the mounted one and painted him up. And now we have a dragon for our gaming group! I think he is using this model for a Fellblade. Awesome Avatars of war model that was a blast to paint. And the Shadowblade model, repositioned a bit Couple shots from Fridays games Sorry for the potato pics, Thanks for looking! | |

| I love that Avatars Of War figure, I've had my eye on it for a while and thinking of using ones like that for an all female Shadow Warriors warband | |

| The Kinky Elves look SPLENDIDLY EVIL... GREAT brushwork on some FINE minis. The G.W. Dragon is much more attractive in red & black than in green...still a silly mini. but more attractive. AND the Battle Scenes are WONDERFUL. TERRIFIC STUFF all around! | |

| More battle scenes! (There's a whole sub forum just waiting for more battle reports.)
Great job on the DE. The Malekith conversion is my favorite.

| Been a while since my last post, as we are taking a hiatus for DnD. Mordheim in a garage, even at night in phoenix summers sucks. However, my brother just had his 30th Bday, and his wife wanted me to make some "little men" for his cake. After some collaboration, Decided on a ruined building and 3 Minis. He mostly plays Nurgle marauders, so I did up a standard bearer / caster I tried to make the nurgle symbol look like a 30. kind of hard to tell in the pics The flag is just pinned on, so he can remove it if he likes. The other two models were just quick paint ups on Chaos warriors The group with the front of the house And the rear of the house Unfortunately I was too intoxicated to think about getting a pic of the cake. Ill see if some one has one. Hopefully, we will start up Mordheim again after our DnD campaign, and I will be motivated to paint more. Thanks for looking! | |

| EXCELLENT! The minis AND, ESPECIALLY, the ruins are OUTSTANDING. I hope he elects to keep the Standard Bearer as is; re, that really is a TERRIFIC piece. VERY WELL DONE all around! | |

| Wow, its been awhile Since I have posted! Painted up some Sigmarines and Augustinus Raimond from helldorado (gonna use him as a warrior priest) so I thought I would drop a pic. I picked the wrong time to varnish them and they became kind of dusty, but its hard to see with the naked (and half blind) eye. I have been using the Stormcast as "good" demons in a campaign I am running so I thought I would slap some paint on em. | |

| These look really great. I quite like the look of the sigmarite models but am a but scared to attempt so much gold! Yours look ace and augustinus fits right in. You've tied him in really well with the paint scheme.
I'd also not seen your skaven before at the start of this thread which are awesome. Especially the bow and nuln skaven!

| Interesting use for Stormcasts as demons. Renoir is one of my favourite models and you did do him justice. Seeing him in gold is something different, but nice. Good job! | |

| They may be a bit too heavily armored for Mordheim, but they are BEAUTIFULLY painted & based creations nonetheless. VERY WELL DONE! | |

I've been using a lot of gold paint recently, working on a 28mm Spartan army. A base coat of zandri dust or something similar gives the gold good coverage. I had been nervous about taking on a job requiring so much gold paint but it works really well. [I know Greek armour was bronze not gold but it was usually highly polished and gold pops more on the table top!]

| Thanks for the comments! The gold was probably the easiest part to paint. (and one of my favorite colors to paint) Couple of thin base coats of Vallejo model color old gold, wash the whole thing with reikland flesh shade then re highlight with old gold and then a mix of gold and P3 quicksilver. some simple edge highlights with straight quicksilver then go back and cut in all the other colors. Then get mad and fix what you messed up while cutting in. | |
