Hey all... I'm not good at introductions. But I'm glad to have finally registered an account here so I can participate in this great community
.
My interest in Mordheim was revived recently when I discovered the new video game coming out. Unfortunately, I don't have a good enough PC to run the game. So I dusted off my old game box, rulebook and dwarf treasure hunters (Unfortunately I lost the Blood on the Streets buildings... If anyone knows the measurements of those, let me know so I can recreate them
).
I haven't played Mordheim in... Probably around 9 years. I've only ever played a Campaign with 3 players simultaneously (Always 3-way multiplayer scenarios). My best friend played a shadow warriors warband and his uncle ran a group of pirates. Even though it was my first adventure in Mordheim I remember doing well enough against them. I even ended up in a heated argument against the pirate scum over whether I was allowed to parry a roll of 6 with my Dwarf Troll Slayer who had the Master of Blades skill. He seemed not to think so, citing a line from the rulebook that says parrying a 6 is "impossible". I told him some skills can change the rules as written, and I was indeed allowed to parry it. But he did not agree...
I even remember creating an account on the specialist games forum at the time and making a thread about it in the Mordheim section. I was happy to see everyone else there also thought I should be allowed to parry it.
Anyway, enough of my past. I'm looking forward to a bright (bleek?) future in the City of the Damned. I'm going to start working on terrain for the end of spring. I've got an old friend who used to play 40k who's down to start a campaign with me. I started working on some house rules and I can't wait to get back into it!
