Thank you for the encouragement! It is a polystyrol tray the pizza comes on, it's really nice to work with. Total props to captain b who got me onto the idea. I'm ordering some Styrofoam sheets tomorrow (payday!) Really looking forward to experimenting! Must get this finished first though! Still have floorboards, more tiles, an overseers balcony, nails and some texturing and debris to add...and that's before I paint and connect it all! :/

Much appreciated guys, I guess I can live with it. It's a bit wonky but I've added nails to detail things a bit and more floorboards as you can see. I'll practice some texturing before I commit to the model. Then it's colour time!  http://imgur.com/9lnUDGF

TERRIFIC! The rickety floor boards look SPLENDID...it's just the right Mordheim touch. Keep on keeping on!   thumbsup

Thanks guys really helps keep the momentum up! Ignois T, I'm going for an effect similar to the blitz of London in ww2 where whole streets were demolished leaving a solitary building relatively untouched and where the facade is intact and the back is gutted. I like the visual and also the playable area it leaves! Smile it's just a personal taste thing. Some of my buildings will be much more damaged and I haven't added the fallen timber and masonry yet. Watch this space Smile

So hopefully this illustrates what I'm going for http://imgur.com/L5bBuzd this aspect appears intact.

Whereas this side has been destroyed http://imgur.com/DcqFk5f

Obviously without the planned debris

My English is not so good. I translate with a programme. This is often very amusing. Very Happy
What I mean is this. It looks weathered

Ah!! I see, I've got some distressing to add yet. I don't imagine I'll achieve your level of execution yet but I'm pretty pleased with my first attempt. I'll put up some pics of my attempt and I would welcome any tips or advice you can give. It's very much appreciated Smile

You exaggerate! Do not think so! Technology and patience. Any more this is not.
I look a lot with model railway forum. There I learn very much.

I have 3 kids patience isn't an issue! Time however is a precious commodity Smile yeah I had a look at some railway stuff suggested in the inspiration thread, to be honest I'm really not going for that level of realism as I would actually like to play on it this year! Smile I might attempt some display pieces later as I really enjoy the creative process but I'm keen to get things moving so me, my brother and friends can have some beers and battles Very Happy

You are right. Time always is not enough. Railway is also nothing for me. I want to say that I have thereby learnt a lot and learn. I like the mix from reality and imagination. But playable it must be, thatīs right.
I further watch you and wait for pictures.
Greeting Ingo
