PostSubject: Dwarf Grudge Bearers   Tue 3 Feb 2015 - 13:31

Hi there and greetings!

I want to share my dwarves with you and hope you like them just like me.
All models are based on my dwarf list, that i wrote for a mordheim campaign.
They're called: Dwarf Grudge Bearers - (Google Drive) version 0.5

edit*
Added new version.
version 0.8
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6kOSKKNjaJ4YzhuOTNkMzNOTUk&authuser=0

The warband in the early stages was a dwarf ranger list. All armed with crossbows and cloaks, so all the games were about 'stand and shoot.' Now they're a more.. heroic? Let's say more dwarvish.  Very Happy
In addition i've added some new skills for the heroes and one specific item, the gin trap.
The most difficult challenge is to balance the rules of the runesmith. He got 6 runes(spells) to forge. All with nearly melee or short range.
The warband is definitely not over the top, just a little bit different to play, because of less users of ranged weapons.

Until now, they got crushed by a bunch of mercenaries, but they have beaten a Khemri mummy with his minions
as they walked into Cutthroat's Haven.

what's new & different?
If you get confused, just take a look in the warband list.

Leader
First we got the thane, Dalak Weißbart, he's the leader of my warband.
Oath Guard
And his oath guard, Lill Eichenschild, always ready to protect him with her life.
Runesmith
Runbar Rußfinger, the runesmith, is one character with some more rules about rune smithing and 'casting'.
Ranger
And last but not least, the sneaky ranger Bailey Silberglocke and her dangerous traps.

Yeah, thanks for reading and good luck with the dice!

Here some photos about my current process and my choosen models.
I got some realy cool looking models for the henchman also. I'll show them maybe in the next post.

Dalak Weißbart & Bailey Silberglocke

Runbar Rußfinger & Lill Eichenschild (her arm lies somewhere around here)

Some outdoor photos with the runesmith.

Nice pictures of your progress. I especially like the pattern on Eichenschild's plate.. skirt? ^^

Can't wait to play alongside them in our next cooperative campaign!

Nice looking warband. Reaper makes some great dwarves and the use of the bases thickness to normalize heights is a great idea.

Thanks folks!

Added last night the axe and some washing all around the skirt to look dirtier. Just a small update.
Still a lot of work to do.

EXCELLENT PROGRESS! The weapon swap looks like a successful bit of surgery...now you have a unique piece.  thumbsup

That's a nice start. I like your colour-choices, especially the skintone.

I do like reaper female dwarves, i however couldn't cope with the height difference so I made my entire warband (less the slayers) out of Reaper dwarves instead lol.

Paintwork is looking good so far Smile
