Encouragement is one of the things this forum is really good at. So Black Tree was named differently before they became Black Tree? What was its name?

Jim seems to think so, but I'm only familiar with it as Black Tree. They did, however, purchase the rights to produce Harlequin miniatures...that might be what he is thinking of. Those are the other Dwarfs I will be doing...hopefully.
Out of curiosity I checked out The Miniatures Page to see if it listed an alternate name. It didn't, but it did have this caveat:
"Be aware that there have been a number of consumer complaints against both the company and its U.S. branch." We had a long running thread in the Fantasy Shout Out about Black Trees incredibly poor customer service. It is a shame; re, they have some really nice, if somewhat dated, old miniatures & accessories.

I was somewhat lacking in enthusiasm for the Black Tree Dwarfs anyway. SO while I build up the drive, I've got a couple of new Mushroom under way:

Could be. I didn't realize that Black Tree did their own thing, I thought it was all old Harlequin.

The new shrooms are excellent as always. That ought to put us on a watch list...

I was in the dark about what Black Tree made until I saw they carried Harlequin. They list Black Tree as separate entities in their online shop.

...when I have leftover green stuff, I normally make mushrooms of the smaller sort. When the green stuff is excess from making Mushrooms, I make scrolls or faces:

Even not firing on all points you are doing pretty good there.

Thanks, Grim. I am glad you like them. I have high hopes for painting the Multi-eye Mushroom....he does have a certain creepy aura to him.

The masked stunty is interesting, though he seems a bit overwhelmed by the shrooms at the moment.

I wanted the Dwarf to be part of the scene rather having the scene enhancing the mini.

Interesting, I had seen these Siren miniature dwarfs before, but had thought them to be bigger (they are rather expensive). I'm sure you are going to put all these nice accessories to good use

Thanks for the kind reply, Grim. I was rather surprised by the size of the miniature also. For some reason or other, I thought it would be as large as an Enigma mini. Only the height of the mask saves him from being a twerp.
I have all sorts of ideas for the various & sundry pieces. This could be a truly enjoyable trip.

The painting part of the Siren Dwarf's base is done. Once the Dwarf is finished, it will get some grass tufts, a matye spray finish, a little dry brush on the tufts, & a gloss finish on the slimy ares & eyeball:

Thanks, Jim. I've enjoyed doing the base & the miniature is proving to be surprisingly nice to paint. I'm happy you like the mushrooms as well.  
The quality of the casting is quite high, but the metal they used is rather like the hard, & very brittle metal for which Rackham was infamous.

SO I finished the Little Guy & took some photos on the work table & in the Witches' Swamp.

Cool little bugger! The red makes him stand out among the mushrooms and makes him fit right in with the rest of your table.
