Encouragement is one of the things this forum is really good at. So Black Tree was named differently before they became Black Tree? What was its name?

It is indeed one of T.B.M.F's finer points. Good fellowship is the way here...you are a SPLENDID example of that in action.  thumbsup

Jim seems to think so, but I'm only familiar with it as Black Tree. They did, however, purchase the rights to produce Harlequin miniatures...that might be what he is thinking of. Those are the other Dwarfs I will be doing...hopefully.
Out of curiosity I checked out The Miniatures Page to see if it listed an alternate name. It didn't, but it did have this caveat:
"Be aware that there have been a number of consumer complaints against both the company and its U.S. branch." We had a long running thread in the Fantasy Shout Out about Black Trees incredibly poor customer service. It is a shame; re, they have some really nice, if somewhat dated, old miniatures & accessories.  clown Suspect

Thanks, Jim. The Vertically Challenged Ones aren't quite as nice as the Harlequin ones that are waiting in the wings, but they do have a character all their own. I'm glad you like them...the response on other fora has been poor at best.  What a Face

Reaper, Lead Adventure, &  to a lesser extent D. M Craft.
I was somewhat lacking in enthusiasm for the Black Tree Dwarfs anyway. SO while I build up the drive, I've got a couple of new Mushroom under way:

...some larger ones ready for green stuffing:

AND the Vertically Challenged Ones from Harlequin waiting for some attention:

Could be. I didn't realize that Black Tree did their own thing, I thought it was all old Harlequin.

The new shrooms are excellent as always. That ought to put us on a watch list... Suspect

I was in the dark about what Black Tree made until I saw they carried Harlequin. They list Black Tree as separate entities in their online shop.

The do look rather seedy...sporey.

I haven't been clicking on all cylinders, but I did manage to do a couple more Mushrooms.
Seen here with Leo "Legs-don't fail-me-now" Sizechek:

AND a ray of hope...sort of. Last week & yesterday I receive packages of WONDERFULLY crafted accessories from Daniel aka tauster of D.M's Craft & Paul aka Matakishi of Tea House Fame for some of my weird thingies. These are the ones from Daniel:

...these are Paul's BEAUTIFUL 3D creations:

...AND, lest I forget, Tobias aka Comsquare sent me a Siren Miniatures Dwarf in a Mask, that I based up & am painting now:

Yes they are!

The masked stunty is interesting, though he seems a bit overwhelmed by the shrooms at the moment.

I wanted the Dwarf to be part of the scene rather having the scene enhancing the mini. What a Face

Interesting, I had seen these Siren miniature dwarfs before, but had thought them to be bigger (they are rather expensive). I'm sure you are going to put all these nice accessories to good use thumbsup

Thanks for the kind reply, Grim. I was rather surprised by the size of the miniature also. For some reason or other, I thought it would be as large as an Enigma mini. Only the height of the mask saves him from being a twerp.
I have all sorts of ideas for the various & sundry pieces. This could be a truly enjoyable trip. clown

The painting part of the Siren Dwarf's base is done. Once the Dwarf is finished, it will get some grass tufts, a matye spray finish, a little dry brush on the tufts, & a gloss finish on the slimy ares & eyeball:

Thanks, Jim. I've enjoyed doing the base & the miniature is proving to be surprisingly nice to paint. I'm happy you like the mushrooms as well.  What a Face
The quality of the casting is quite high, but the metal they used is rather like the hard, & very brittle metal for which Rackham was infamous.
