After putzing around with some new Mushrooms:

I finally started painting the Faerie Folk...well, the Hovering Fellow's Mushroom got some attention:

...& The Group:

ADDENDUM: I have the first of the bases fashioned & sanded. This gives me a chance to show you what is under the paint & static grass:

...the gray, rock like part is plumber's epoxy putty:

...AND YET ANOTHER Group Portrait:

...more photos after the glue dries & some painting.  clown

...AND the next day: Faerie Goblins Two & Three are ready for some paint. Number Three is waiting for his Mushroom's Green Stuff to dry for the white on black treatment:

...meanwhile Number Four buzzing a freshly made Mushroom:

...The Mushroom:

Periodically I do a G.W. Gnoblar & Night Goblin mix for a particularly weeedy Goblin, one destined for a life of menial labor:

...these unfortunates usually get names like Beastly Burden. This one may get his own base or get stuck with some oppressively large Fellow...time will tell.  clown

So much creepiness! You are moving right along. I am envious of your pace.

I looked at some projects this morning. Confirming that they haven't advanced from last week or last year is important to me.

Thanks, Jim. If you had as much time to devote to the craft as I do, those projects would be done along with ones you've only imagined.   What a Face

This is where we stood at the end of the day. The Faeries & Robespierre are all base coated; AND the Faeries are based:

...with individual pics:

...more later...I hope.  clown

Today I plodded along with the bases. Robespierre & Faerie Fellow #01 are just about done base-wise with some static grass to be added at the very end of the process:

...the rest of the Fly Boys are closing in fast:

...more tomorrow. Sweet dreams!   clown

The Weedy Revolutionary, Robespierre is done:

...seen here on his journey to Heep's place...it's like a pilgrimage to the Jack Daniel's Distillery:

...did you hear something?:

...from various angles:

...Heep's Place for those who are familiar with it:

...I'm as restless as a willow in a windstorm; I'm as jumpy as a puppeton a string. I'd say that I had Spring Fever but I finished fleshing out the Faerie Goblins AND finished one. These are the ones fleshed out:

The siren call of The Green Stuff...it's taken over from The Wild...had me knock out three new Mushrooms:

...now while they cure, I'll get back to the serious business of painting Faerie Goblins.  clown

Lovely fellows, especially the one in the middle. I like your Robespierre, too. What do you use these flying faery-goblins for?

Thanks for the kind reply, Grimscull. I am delighted you like them.
I haven't quite worked out how I'm going to treat the Fly Boys. I figured they could be a "count as" for some fast moving types, but what is still a question. Suggestions on this would be welcome; I don't get to play so working within the rules can be problematic for me. What a Face

Despite all the sighing & staring into space that Spring Fever requires, I did finish a Faerie Fellow & all the Faerie Wings.
The finished Faerie:

Those painted up nice- I especially like the reeds that the one fairy is hovering over.

Thanks for the reply, Grimscull. I am happy you are enjoying the stuff.
I actually blame my preference for bright colors on all the colorful historical miniatures I did when I first started gaming; I'm sure I've said this before, but Old Men have a habit of repeating themselves...it's a tradition thing. I think I am so fond of your approach because it is different than my own. What a Face

Thanks, Codsticker...glad you like them. The reeds are sisal rope (from Michael's) that I unwind & glue in clumps. It is a nice easy effect to achieve; AND a good way to hide the supporting wire. What a Face
