The rise & fall within the hierarchy of the Rat Guys is a mystery to all, but other Rat Guys that is. ††clown
The new Big Cheese is a†LOVELY addition...GREAT conversion, brushwork, & base. The W.I.P Night Runner & his quick paint associates look FINE or potentially so. FANTASTIC WORK!†††thumbsup

Again, really great conversions. And I like the fact you put some more colors on the first one. Makes it easier to see all the details and he looks more vivid.

Thanks guys! And yes, the promotion and demotion of rat models is a mysterious, yet very serious business! Speaking of serious, I am seriously excited for this. I finished the rat ogre!†††bounce††bounce††cheers

We'll start with a size comparison shot for a sense of just how BIG this thing turned out to be

Move on to the panorama view

And end with some lovely closeups of the base

I'm looking forward to getting him on the table to snack on some man-things next weekend.†

Cheers!

The Big Rat Guy is VERY IMPRESSIVE. The brushwork, basing, & conversion work are all OUTSTANDING...the fact that he towers over that mere Ogre adds to the "impressive" thingy.†VERY WELL DONE!†††thumbsup

VERY WELL DONE! The Rat Guys, in addition to being BEAUTIFULLY painted & based, have the look of carrying some advanced disease of a particularly vile & virulent sort. ††thumbsup

Got a new project in the works...orcs! In hats!

Nothing too exciting yet, but a few models are starting to take shape

The Boss (final picture) I'm still unsure of. The arm leaning on the hammer is still just tacked on for now, obviously would be fitted better if it became permanent. I can't decide if I like the pose or not; thoughts? (And for some reason the arm with the crossbow looks way more awkward in the picture than in person)

Um, yer orcs got such tiny hands. No wonder they be wearin' funny hats.

Do you need (or would you like) some orc sized bows? With hands? Bodies for that matter. I have a few gathering dust. Also 40K is a great source of orcs' pistol grips and such. Just a thought...

Love the 'Empire' look. Kev Adam's Renaissance orcs are some of my favorite minis.

To moi, if it's Renaissance, it's COOL. Orcs, while not as cool as Goblins, start out with enough natural cool to rise to UBERCOOLNESS in Renaissance attire. GREAT CONVERSION WORK! ††thumbsup
Not having hands the same size as their heads is not necessarily a negative quality. ††clown

Thanks guys!

The tiny hands were actually a conscious choice. I reeeeeally hate the giant oversized monkey arms and ham-hands that the orc models come with. So the Boyz got arms from the chaos marauders, while the Boss and Big Uns get the normal orc arms. Not only does this make them a wee bit less comical (to my eyes at least) but it helps to reinforce the fact that they're tough, but no stronger than a human. When your bicep is as big around as a human mercanary's chest, S3 is a little hard to believe!

And don't worry DeafNala, there will be Renaissance-garbed goblins eventually.

Thanks guys! Glad you like him. That'll probably be the last rat for a while, as we've just wrapped up our campaign on Sat. Now I've got about a month to get the orcs in fighting shape for the next one!

I got pics from the first game, and a few in the third. Second game I forgot about my camera altogether. One of these times I'll manage to remember it all day. Should be able to put up some quick batreps later.

Regardless, I won all three of my games that day, putting me at (I think) a total of 8 wins and 2 loses, with 2 of the wins being multiplayer games. Not too bad for coming in late. We'll have results for a bunch of silly prizes like most crowns collected or most enemies killed later in the week.
