It's a variant on "down to the sea in ships".   clown

The Town and the VerminYear 2, Month 1, Day 21

Rumors about untold riches to be found in Vercuso had reached Gudrun. Surely some of the crews sailing under the Ironfang flag would be found there, looting at their leisure. The dwarf captain didn't think twice and took the Grudgebreakers to inquire at the Pie Shop.

Burlok, the Deck Hands and Steve 'Seagull' the ship cook were nearby, checking the streets around the Hunted Chapel.

Suddenly, a furry figure scuttled out of the Cod & Cutlass. More disgusting Skaven could be seen peering out of the windows.

"Not Grobi, but equally enemies of the Dwarves!", Gudrun said spurring his party forward.

Steve looked for a good firing position and stumbled upon a richly illuminated book.

Snorri the cabin boy and the Slayers approached the Cod & Cutlass.

Unaware that more Skaven were lurking in ambush.

That cost dearly to Snorri, who was suddenly ganged-up.

In the Merchant's Mansion Orun held a Black Skaven back at crossbow point.

Giving time for Steve to rush for safety with the priceless tome.

Gurni charged in, hoping for his long awaited honourable death. He fell one Skaven, but only managed to get a leg slashed open by the second one.

Gudrun spied the Skaven leader approaching through a doorway. A well placed shot sent the big vermin reeling to the ground.

The vile creature stood up and ducked for cover, while his sorcerous aide summoned a plague of rodents and sent them to deal with Orek.

As a thick fog was raising, Gudrun run to the rescue of the fallen Slayer.

With more rodents swarming over them, Gudrun dragged Orek to safety.
Defeat would be vindicated another day, no doubt.
