Hello people of TBMF.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Michel and i hail from the Netherlands. I joined the whole miniature scene back in '87, been playing lots of different GW games, pen and paper rpg's, heroquest, WHFB, 40K, Mordheim, Necromunda, to name a few.
My friends and i found ourselves playing a lot of 40K a few years ago, with our armies growing and growing. Till we played some Apocalyse games with them...and all interest in massive armies went right out the window. For a few years after that we went back to the game we all loved, Mordheim...a few miniatures, with more personalised backgrounds. But all good things end..RL, jobs, girlfriends, kids and moving to other places got the better of us all.
Last summer we found ourselves all together at a party and started talking about our "good old gaming days". And rejoice we decided to start playing some games of Mordheim again.
Which brings us to today. Some of us decided to make some new warbands. I even decided it was time to get some new terrain...playing on the 1999 cardboard buildings in 2013 was a serious no go
So after travelling up and down the interwebs for inspiration i came across TBMF. I lurked here for a while reading a lot of building threads, and being amazed at the level of craftsmanship and imagination some people here have (bravo). The use of sometimes very simple materials and techniques used to create stunning buildings, terrain, or even whole town's and boards is amazing.
I will soon post some pictures of my attempts to make some terrain (which will include alot of stolen...ehm...borrowed techniques from forum members).
For now, take care and enjoy yourselves.
