Thanks, Quase! I'm glad you like The Girls.  What a Face
While I'm sure the local fungi are harmless, it's best to be cautious. With recipes involving Mushrooms, I hope I'm not eating anyone I know.  clown

Your terrain and minis are absolutely incredible.

The colors are FANTASTIC! I couldn't imagine ever getting tired of playing against (or alongside) your miniatures and on your board.

It's candy for the eyes.

The different styles I see on this forum never cease to amaze me. I tend to go drab and dull, ruined and wrecked, but you're the complete opposite end of the spectrum and it's beautiful.

But amongst all your attention to detail, amazing paint work, and fantastic construction, I have to say my favorite bits of your work are the perfect amounts of WEIRD AND STRANGE you put in your work.

cheers

Thanks, floedebolle. She is a charming Little Wench. One of the things about older minis is what they may lack in the high detail that state of the art pieces boast of they more than make up for with personality.  What a Face

Two new hovels have sprung up Mushroom like in the Shanty Town adjoining Ma Jo's Mushroom. To commemorate the occasion I thought some photos were in order. SO here's a Tour of the place:

There now, that wasn't so bad...mostly.
As always your kind commentary would be most welcome. clown

Oh the spooky face at the window! What a Face

The best!

I like the jumbled together effect, although if I was going to game with the board, the support posts that obscure the bottom of the huge mushroom would concern me. Its an excellent little space that looks inaccessible from the photos. (Can't tell if it is accessible or not.)

Bwahahaha hahahaaaaaaa @ the Night Gobbo/Nosferatu peeping out of the curtains!
You clearly haven't lost your attention to the little pesky albeit funny details.

Excellent work as usual.
A highly indicidual piece which 'll fir in nicely with the rest of the board!

Thanks, Quase...glad you like the stuff! Now that you mention it, the Goblin does have the Nosferatu look to him...a silly Nosferatu but definitely with that look. I added a Spooky Tree to the shoreline which I'll take photos of later...just a few more touches then I'll gloss over the water. What a Face

As a side note, you may have noticed that the thread is missing some pages. The Forum system apparently lops off 40 pages when a thread reaches a certain size. The missing pages are slowly sinking toward the depth of this section if you're looking for them. Suspect

Realizing that once the upper story shacks & scaffolding are added & the piece is snugly placed on the board getting a photo that showed the interior would be about as difficult for moi as going to Heaven, I took a few photos of the Hole In The Wall Tavern as it appears now. So here is where the Elite meet...elite what is another question:

I'm hoping to finish the whole tenement over the weekend. SO be prepared to have yet more astoundingly mediocre photos inflicted upon yourselves come Monday or there's about. In the meantime your kind comments would be appreciated.  clown

Nice brass rail there! This little space is going to get buried? Or just obscured? No painting behind the bar? Note playtable doesn't have any in his taverns either... Suspect

A great little place, though it looks a tad clean for somewhere that might be visited by goblins.

It is true that Goblins are not noted neat freaks. HOWEVER, the Witches have a dim view on poor hygienic habits. It also has be noticed that when a slob goes missing a new somewhat sentient Mushroom appears.  affraid clown

Although there are ladders, posters, et al to add toe the first Tenement, it is for the most part completed...mostly. SO here are some awful photos to give you a vague idea where the Poor Folk reside.

Lovely piece! Smile

I've been thinking of doing something similar for my peasant people by using raised planked platforms. Loosely inspired by this:

Keep up the great work!

That piece you linked to is a BEAUTY. I had Earl Smallshaw's Tenement Row in mind when I made the stacked up shanties:

Wonderful little piece or pieces as the case may be. If you squint you can almost see the ladders and posters already, well with enough alcohol and imagination... drunken

Thanks, V.K.! I have the Beasty sitting about where it will eventually be mounted in the Shanty Town; it really looks much better & more impressive in its natural surroundings...I'll try to get a picture up tomorrow.  What a Face

From my drinking days, I can attest that with enough sauce & a bit of squinting you can see almost anything.  clown
