Hello all

so not sure where to post this exactly, but I just want to show some sculpting, and hopefully get some feedback and new ideas from the people here:)

some of you mabye saw the manboar-thing i made before... now im trying som smaller scales:)

so first out is whats to suposed to be some kind of angry mob to our post apocalyptic games..

I used a old gw skeleton i found. what i realized is that they are quite big, but for this first one i didnt bother with cutting down the hands, feet or taking of the skull(witch you dont need cuz your putting gs over it!)

Various GS sculpting projects Img-4536

gs is fun, i forgot to take pics of the process on this guy.. the guy on the left is eureka miniatures, some russian. they are rather small if you compare them to gw.
Various GS sculpting projects Img-4560

what I should of done, was to smooth out the surface a little bit more...
And hes also to skinny, so more bulking on the legs would have been good here..
Various GS sculpting projects Img-4556

Hes quite rough, and while not being fully satisfied, i realized its not impossible to make minis
(tough theres a lot off room for improvement:D)

after the first one i gained some experience offcourse, so i started two minis at the same time, very effective i think when working with green stuff.

the sketch for one of them:)

and some of you may guess that the base is from an old ultramarine i found in a box:)

The Big Irishman & his associates are FANTASTICALLY imaginative creations. Using the old skeletons for armatures/dollies is a FINE idea; the results speak for themselves. My own Green Stuff is more limited so I am greatly impressed with what you've accomplished.

Keep us updated with your progress. It's VERY inspiring.  thumbsup
I haven't haunted the Dakka site for a very long time...I'll have to visit more often.  clown

Addendum: I'm going through your Desert Terrain thread right now. It is TRULY INSPIRATIONAL. I love the Tau Commando in the watch cap with the cigarette. GREAT WORK!  thumbsup

So been doing some more stuff. The idea was that I wanted to do a chaos prince of some sort, and whilst doing an essay on William Blake, I got the idea to do a classical devil (in the shape of a greek god-something-something) with a spear and shield. It has been a struggle I tell you, both to find time, and to make use of the time you have... I have done the face and head 4 or 5 times, and will have to do it agian because it's to big:/ The inspiration also came from the classical David by Michelangelo:) So this is just some pictures of where i'm at the moment with this guy... Thanks for checking it out!

The face is perfect for a Evil deity...the expression has a sensuous, mocking quality to it. GREAT WORK!   thumbsup

Thank you! i noticed that I didnt have a pic from the left side of the face, what I did, to add to the devilish feeling, was to do a small cut on the upper lip to resemble a cleft palate.. I believe it's the small, sublime details that make a sculpt look "evil".  But that's just what I believe:) found some pics of another sculpt I have done on the side of this one,  a british SAS dude, (or something like that) for a postapocalyptig game.

That is VERY COOL. I really like Post Apocalypse minis....actually Mordheim is Post Apocalypse Fantasy. I suppose he should have a Bulldog Pup(?), but the mustache looks more Eastern European than British also. All that aside, it is a BEAUTIFUL sculpt.VERY WELL DONE!   thumbsup

Hello, so been doing some more sculpting, the plan is two more guys that's going to accompany the kneeling dude.
At this moments it's just legs. And I find it unbelievable hard to do the boots, they all look like snowjoggers...
