Hi All

Hi everyone,

I'm a 40 something gamer from Plymouth, UK. Been playing Warhammer fantasy for quite some time now (Orcs, Empire, DE, Bret, Dwarves) and have obviously been aware of Mordheim for quite a while.

I finally decided to have a good look at it and liked what I saw a lot.

The 'terrain heavy' (for want of a better description) style of gaming really appeals to me, I like a game to look good as well as play well and Mordheim certainly fits the bill.

Time to start planning my first warband(s) and get the brushes out.

Congrats to whoever produces this site. Very well done and easy to use.

Do you already know what warbands you are going to play? WIth that many Warhammer armies at hand you can easily field five or six warbands.

I picked up a Witch Hunters warband today. Although I have quite a few suitable figures from other armies it's the cool specialist miniature sets that partly attracted me to Mordheim in the first place.

I also got hold of a copy of the Blood on the Streets Terrain pack. I mainly intend to use cardstock terrain from Worldworks.com but I couldn't resist getting this set to 'jump start' my city terrain. Up until now my terrain collection has cosisted mainly of hills, woods, rivers etc and it will be good to build something different.

Thanks for all the positive comments and I expect we'll chat around the forum again soon.

Off to check out some of the other threads now.

UPDATE (I hate to double post)

I've checked out just a couple of the terrain threads and I am now absolutely NOT going down the cardstock route. I've been seriously inspired by the foamcore buildings I've seen and will be having a crack at something simple to see how I get on.

There are some seriously jaw-dropping builds in progress!!

So true. They've almost switched me over to foam core and balsa. THey are just so freaking beautiful

Welcome....LOL. I read your post on card stock terrain.

These guys have done some great work to show their work on this forum and it is hard to keep up but it does motivate you.

If nee you to start with cardstock then do so but then build more terrain over the next few months.
