It is a nice piece, and you did an excellent job with it.

Thank you for the kind comments everyone, and a special thanks to Alan for his generosity. It was a fun piece to paint and will be lovingly fought over and around for years to come.

By the Prophet that does look SPLENDID! The brushwork & color selection made the piece. VERY WELL DONE!   thumbsup
As I remember it, the cobra had a rather pleasant smile. I found that to be disturbing.   affraid clown

Thank you everyone for the kind comments. I really enjoy the fountain on the tabletop now that I overcame my fear of painting the water.

I discovered I was out of green when I went to paint the cobra, so I ended up mixing a blue and a yellow in a not very precise kind of way. I am considering writing a random encounter with a viper into our Random Happenings to include it in a more active way in the games...

I am doing some more maintenance on old terrain.

WIP ruined adobes. I've had each piece for years, but haven't used them much because of how beat up they were. A little refurbishment:

Both

A larger ruin with stairs and a small upper level.

Both

The larger ruin needs flock on the floor, maybe some tiles. I am thinking about adding broken pottery and some rats or snakes. Maybe rat eating snakes...

The Urban Renewal Project turned out SPLENDIDLY...some fresh paint & a little attention to details does WONDERS. They look like they'll go well with the newer pieces in the background. VERY WELL DONE!   thumbsup

The snakes & rats sound like fine additions although I'm sure the rats are less than thrilled about the snakes.   clown

Thanks Alan I'm glad you like them. I have plans to add flock and little details. It only took a couple of years to repaint them, so all things are possible.

Thank you FR.

This is what the little ruin used to look like.  (I cut it in half as part of the remodel.)

Before:

Lower left of the photo which is nearly exactly the half cut away for the next photo.

And the other half of the old long ruin that I just cut in half. I added some windows to make it more of a defensible position rather than just an obstacle course. That and some paint and here it is:

Like the others it could use some more flock and some more detail, but it looks much better than the old one (to me anyway).

Thank you Al. I do like how this one turned out. The greens are more noticeable, but I like it. (The last of my twenty something year old Rotring ink.)
