That does have possibilities; it has a Halloween vibe to it. I'll be looking forward to your take on The Beasty. Have FUN!   thumbsup

I just scrolled through the whole thread. Cool terrain pieces you've made here. Very much atmosphere. I read in the beginning you wanted a coherent set of terrain. You've really succeded in that in my opinion. Do you plan to use age of sigmar pieces as well?

Thanks very much guys!

I do, yes. I have just ordered a pack of 2 Realmgates and I already have their colour-scheme planned - ghostly "magic" effects and Wortbad style grey-green stonework.

I will be getting a Dragonfate Dais, a Numinous Occulum and a couple of Ophidian Archways as soon as I can afford each of them. They will all be getting the Wortbad visual style as well, including some tangled, dead trees.

I'm curious to see how AoS terrain mixes with 'old world' terrain. The architecture is quite different

Dreadfire Portal - completed.

I used "Agrellan Earth" cracked earth technical paint in some areas, to break up the texture of the earth, I really like it so I think I will be using it more, but I'm not keen on whole bases covered in it.

I don't remember ever seeing this piece on a store shelf, but you painted it up nicely.

The Beasty has some VERY NICE details to it; I LOVE the animal carcasses & that hooded skeletal figure holding up the dais. Your FINE brushwork & subdued palette along with all the little embellishments finish of the piece in an OUTSTANDING fashion. GREAT WORK!   thumbsup

I really like you style of panting terrain pieces. It looks simple but its kind of subtle and artistic!

WIP Baleful Realmgate, with added ruins to make it fit in with the rest of Wortbad.

Ha! I love the eternity stair, so much I guess that I didn't notice what it was paired with.

I do not recognize the extra ruins either, what common kit are they from?

I like the way you mixed the age of sigmar piece with other scenery.
Love the details on the base of the dreadfire portal with all the leafs and skeletons. Nice

Ruins of Osgiliath, from GW's Lord of the Rings range - a blimmin' lovely kit that I regret only buying one of, and now they are out of production!

~~~
Crappy wobbly photos (taken while holding a one-year-old baby!), sorry.
I've added some ghostly spirits to the Realmgate.
They look like them (intentionally I'm sure) but they are from the Spirit Hosts kit:
