| Id say scratch the blunderbuss. If the theme is duelists, and if you use oppulent goods, give some of the men rapiers. Its an interesting theme! I use to make something similar with my Marienburgers, at least my Heroes, seeing as they are nobles and therefore probably schooled in duelling |

| If you can get some dualing Pistols in there instead of Pistols you will be much better off. The extra +4 range (now outside most charge ranges) and the +1 to hit is a big deal. Your Marksmen can't use them though so that sucks.
If you can even toss a few on your Youngbloods you can effectivly make them BS3 and WS3. Not great but they may be able to be more help in the warband this way.

| If you are going with a duelist theme, I would drop Marksmen for Swordsmen. More expensive but deadly in melee. Using BS4 Marksmen as pistol men seems a waste of their particular talent.
No one has mentioned it, but I would drop the two handed weapon until attacks and a skill are gained. Striking last with one attack is not as deadly as you may think.

Unless you put him in a pairing with at least one other warrior, he'll be attacked before he can strike back. Seen it sooo many times...

| I like themed warbands, only problem is, that by limiting yourself to certain equipment and warrior types, you give your opponent an advantage without gaining any benefits. Drop pistols on marksmen and give them bows and other reasonable ranged weapons. Let CC guys act as "duelists". Also remember that pistols are one round weapons, which means your warriors are left with daggers as only weapons after you made a salvo. (btw rapiers can only by taken after a hero gains a skill to use them). I see you like blackpowder weapons (pistols) - why not trying that fan-made warband of Nuln? (don't know how it is called, don't care and don't like). You may also try Tileans - they are better suited for cc and even got henchmen group that's called well..."duellists" . All depends how liberal your gaming group is. | |

| thanks for all the responses guys i have a updated list
merc captain 60gc dueling pistol, sword 95gc
champion 35gc x2 pistol, sword 120gc
youngblood 15gc axe dagger 20gc
youngblood 15gc mace dagger 17gc
marksmen 25gc x 2 brace of pistols, dagger 110gc
swordsman 35gc x 2 sword buckler 100gc
that brings me too 462gc so enough for one more warrior? the bucklers might not be that great but i like the idea of them with some form of shield
thanks again guys

| For a duelist warband, what do people duel with?
Daggers Swords Pistols
Focus on those. For henchmen, give them daggers. Its cheap and it is themed.
With heroes, I'd say give dueling pistols to the captain and champions, with the youngbloods getting a sword each.
You could get full 5 heroes and 6 henchmen like this. Or drop the dueling pistols on a champion and replace a knife wielding warrior with a marksman.
