It's the scenario with the Giant sleeping in the center of the board in his tent.

We played it a week back but found the rules incomplete as far as what the Giant does after he wakes up. Has anyone played this and found/made up a good set of rules to govern the Giant post slumber? We are trying to avoid "Giant is under X players control during turn Y" for obvious reasons.

If no one has played it I will just share with you what we used so you can give them a go should you ever try this scenario out.

I have not played this scenario but have played a few times the Monster Hunt from the Annual (p.33).
What we do is have it charge the closest model, if a tie then we roll off with each model allocated a number(s). example would be 2 models are closest then a 1-3 he charges warrior A; 4-6 charges warrior B.

As to the monsters attacks we devide them equally between all models in base contact.
If there is more warriors then attacks then each warrior makes a roll with those who roll highest get lucky and not attacked.
If there is more attacks then warriors then again we roll for each warrior and those who roll high again get lucky and get fewer attacks.
As to the monster attacks we have the other player who is not being attacked get to roll for the monster.

hope that helps out

Thanks Pervavita, those are some pretty solid rules for NPCs.

We had come across it in the list found here.
https://docs.google.com/folder/d/0B18J5DU-6cP_aEg2dHIxbGpaMlk/edit?pli=1&docId=0B18J5DU-6cP_cnF2R3BMcUpkWlk

We used the following for the Giant.
When he wakes up he charges the closest model. He continues to charge closest models until he is out of charge range or LOS to chargable models.
He then runs back to the center of the board (charging anything on his way) and if he makes it back he proceeds to use his Stone Throw attack at all visible models within 24" (closest as well). It made no sense that his Stone Throw attack was 10", because he can charge 12" and would always choose that. We also increased the range to 24" because once he returns to the center it is too easy to just take pot shots at him until he dies and he needs to do something other than sit there defenseless guarding his loot.

After writing this down I thought, "How cool would it be if he actually threw treasure chests at you from the loot pile he is protecting." A raging Giant throwing sacks of deadly loot at you sounds pretty amazing to me.

That I found to be the key problem with these kinds of scenario's. The big bad monster is fun to fight but it's just too easy to sit back and snip them to death.
A way to prevent that might be to give them a rule that makes ranged attacks weaker.

Tough Skin: Missile weapons just don't have the strength to pierce ths skin with ease as such the monster has an added 5+ Armour save vs missile weapons (this stacks with other armour saves).
Thick Skin: Missile weapons just don't have the strength to do serious damage as such Critical hits can not be made with missile weapons.
That would make all but guns (rare) all but useless vs the monsters. Sure you could still sit back and snip but it would get borring.

In my last campaign we had a "Don't wake the Giant" scenario. We followed some of those rules listed above, but since it was a big multi-player battle, we devised the following rule. At the beginning of each player's turn, we would dice off for control of the giant for that turn, HOWEVER if any of your models were in close combat with the giant, you could not participate in the roll. Also, no player could have control of the giant for more than one turn. It gave the impression that the giant was confused and blundering around as it faced off against the numerous warbands. It seemed to work pretty well.
