| Hi fellas, did anyone of you tried the new rules from http://www.heroheim.com/? Seems a little bit more balanced than the original mordheim stuff. Although the first negative point is the missing difference between clubs, axes and swords. Also I'm missing the the knocked down/stunned rules as an essential point of the mordheim skirmish game. | |

| - Merging club, axe, sword is controversial but appeals to WHFB players. - KD/ S is gone and we don't miss it at all. It makes shooting a more integral (and less random) part of the game. - Also, consider the walls of text and rules needed for KD/S which is now gone. - It will be my point that if GW had introduced W2 from the start, and someone else came along and wanted to introduce the walls of text for KD/S, people would laugh.
But of course I may be wrong :-)

Wait, i thought asp hated the whole Mordheim - WHFB connection and went out of his way to ensure they were as far removed from each other as possible?!

| HH seems to be very promising... We´ll definitely try out the new system, when it is ready.
How about the Coreheim? You do still update it, do you? Or does the HH replace the CH entirely? I just ask this cause v.8.9d got just released.

| Know this is kind of a old thread, but I just ran into Heroheim yesterday. Does look promising, but I'd have to wait until more Warbands are included. Half the Warbands in my group isn't represented yet.

Perfect excuse to buy more minis and paint them up hah, I wish. Part of why I'm even doing Mordheim is because I wanted to still be in the hobby, but simply don't have time for anything of larger scale.

| Hi thanks for your interest in Coreheim and Heroheim.
BOTH projects are being carried forward. Each is continually updated but Coreheim is unlikely to see any large-scale changes. - More like balance adjustments and clarifications.
Heroheim is still a sort of beta. Some players play it and say that its smooth and fun but there is still much to be worked out.
As for many warbands, well...... The more warbands you do, the harder they are to balance.

While balance is definitely something that we should strive for.. I tend to agree that for a casual game like this its probably better to release the warbands first and balance later. Its not like this is really a competitive game with tournaments like Starcraft, or even Warhammer. Wish there would be a system of checks and balances that'll just allow people to create their own warbands. Some generic rules set. Don't get me wrong, definitely not taking anything away from all the hard work you and your team has put into this.. because I definitely can't do any better nor do I have the time to even attempt it. All-in-all, definitely a great commodity to the hobby and community.
