| Hello everyone! here are my latest dwarf mercs. I went for the "evil" dwarf warband here. That is, greedy treasure hunters who wont hesitate to rob you if they come across you in Mordheim. 1. My Dwarf Noble. I am especially pleased with how the cloak turned out! 2. My Engineer with two handgun armed henchmen 3. Two henchmen armed with two handed weapons 4. Two slayers 5. Two crossbow armed henchmen 6. Two hammer and shield wearing henchmen What do you think? |

| I like them a lot! I like the soft, natural colours on the hair and clothes too.

| Thanks. yeah, I never understood why all slayers were gingers, and I prefer a more individualistic and natural look. |

| From a Goblin's perspective, ALL Dwarfs are EVIL. That said, they are GOOD LOOKING in their evilness....very nice color choices & brushwork. Other than a bit of base work, the only thing I see that could add to their appearance is to perhaps dill out the gun barrels...but VERY WELL DONE notwithstanding! | |

| Yeah I know, I often forget (borh unintentionally and intentionally) to do the bases. Mostly cuz I spend so much time on the figs I often feel I dont have the energy to spend time on the bases as well. That WILL change, though, I promise... at some point, anyway! |

| I also like the colour choices, and the skintones - nice work! Re: slayer hair - I always assumed they dyed their hair as a way to show their humiliation? | |

| The Noble's cloak looks great! I also enjoy the tones and variation of the slayers. I would imagine the wild, orange hair is one of the ways slayers draw attention to themselves in combat, as they are seeking a violent end. | |

| I agree the cloak is amazing. I like the non orange haird slayers but I too had always thought it was to draw attention. I preffer them this way though. | |

| Haha, seems no one really knows why they are orange haired. Any dwarf expert knows??? I do concur with most of you though, I prefer a more natural look |

| They got orange hair because they dye it when they take the Slayer oath. | |

| The Slayer cult dyes their hair because the first slayer did it in honor of the prince he failed to protect.
'Gudrun's shame upon failing to protect his war was so deep that he knew he could never return to karaz-a-karak and face the king. Now before his murder, Prince Furgil sported a deep fiery red beard that was the envy of every dwarf this side of the worlds edge mountains. In his grief Gudrun dyed his own hair orange in respect for the fallen Prince. Unable to fulfil his oath to his king, gundrun wandered the mountains. Seeking death as a release form his sorrow, he spent the remainder of his years hunting down and slaying every troll that he could find' - 2000 Dwarf Army book.
I do not have that army book, this is from research but have the story from several sources. | |
