PostSubject: My Warmaster Fantasy Project    Mon 3 Sep 2012 - 0:51

Over the next few weeks I am going to be working on some Warmaster fantasy namely the following armies:

Chaos:2,065pts
[Nurgle]
Chaos Hero

Chaos Knights

Chaos Warriors

Chaos Warriors

[Khorne]
Chaos Hero Mounted

Chaos Marauders Mounted

Chaos Marauders

Chaos Marauders

Chaos Dragon Ogres

[Tzeentch]
Chaos Sorcerer

Chaos Warriors

Chaos Hounds

Chaos Dragon Ogres

[Slaanesh]
Chaos Knights

Chaos Warriors

Chaos Hounds

Still coming is a Unit of Ogres. I need some Trolls, Chaos Chariots, Harpies , Chaos Dragon Rider for my General and some Chaos Spawns.

High Elf:1,555pts
High Elf Hero Mounted Giant Eagle

High Elf Hero Mounted Giant Eagle
High Elf Spearmen Unit

High Elf Spearmen Unit
High Elf Spearmen Unit
High Elf Archers

High Elf Archers
High Elf Silver Helms

High Elf Silver Helms
High Elf Reavers
High Elf Reavers
High Elf Chariots
High Elf Chariots
High Elf Bolt thrower

Will need alot more Spearman units as well as Archer, Bolt throwers, and Silver helms. Plus if I can find one a Dragon Rider as well.

Orc and Goblins
Orc Hero
Goblin Hero
Night Goblins
Night Goblins
Goblin Wolf Chariots
Giant

The Orc and Goblins are not CHEAP even compared to the standard price paid alomst $40USD per blister pack compared to $9USD on average for the other races. Cheaper to buy the Orc and Goblins from the GW site.

Undead:
Undead General on Zombie Dragon
Undead Hero
Undead Hero
Undead Hero
Undead Wizard
Undead Warriors
Undead Warriors
Undead Bowmen
Undead Bowmen
Undead Bowmen
Undead Bone Thrower
Undead Bone Thrower
Undead Skull Chuka
Undead Chariots

Will need heaps of undead warriors and bowmen to flesh this army out and the Sphinx, Giant skeleton, carrion, and cavalry will add to it as well.

But the Main armies are Chaos and High Elves the other two I'll add to them if I can find cheap packs.
I blame this distraction on ebay and a cheap deal for alot of chaos troops.

Will post pics soon once I have done them

Cheers

Looking VERY cool! Warmaster is one of those games that I thought would take off more than it did. The epic scale really gives the sense of a truly massive battle going on that could decide the fate of an entire nation. Sadly, it seems to be yet another GW series that was pumped out with little support afterwards.

Great project. I was amazed at the speed at which people stopped playing the game as well.

You are a man of MANY Projects...nice to see you bring so many things to completion. thumbsup
The War Master stuff looks TERRIFIC...especially considering how tiny it is. VERY WELL DONE! thumbsup

The smaller scales; i.e., 2mm-10mm, seems to do quite well with the Historical Crowd. I would imagine if you're into really big battles, it's the way to go. My "big battle" days are long gone.

update:

here are the new units I have painted up:

The completed High Elf army so far. [Still got a character and chariot pack in transit to me, and I need more Spearmen, Archers, Giant Eagles and Bolt throwers.]

2nd Spearmen Unit:

3rd Spearmen Unit:

2nd Archer Unit:

1st Reaver Unit:

2nd Reaver Unit:

2nd Silver Helm Unit:

Chariot Unit:

2nd Hero on Giant Eagle:

Bolt Thrower Hero:

Mounted Hero:

well thats it for the High elves until I get the other items and those two packs arrive. Here is a small amount of chaos I've done:

Chaos Spawns [kit bashed LGW Style]

Daemon Prince of Nurgle:

well that's it for now going to go and start to paint up some undead warmaster stuff.

I recently got a Zombie dragon and rider and I was completely gutted to find NO DRAGON HEAD WTF!!!!!!
the guy who sold it to me couldn't find it. I even tried to get some spare parts from Grandma Wendy to no avail. So again I turned to my kit bashing style and made him a head will post pics once I've painted him up. He's going to be the 1st undead mini I'll paint up.

and here he is:
ok here is the Undead General/Hero on his Zombie Dragon:

The first issue I had was the head he didn't have one but after taking a dip in my bitz box I found something slapped on some horns and viola a dragon's head.

Will post pics of the remaining undead in a few days time.

Cheers

With the natural prejudice against Elves endemic to we Goblin Guys I've got to say the Pointy Eared Ones look SO natural in pink. Now that I've gotten that out of my system...all the new stuff looks TERRIFIC. I really like the Zombie Dragon's new head. VERY WELL DONE! thumbsup

thx Alex

I do enjoy painting 10mm its alot easier then painting 6mm [which I still have a bucket load of figs to paint, BKC II Germans/Soviets, FWC Ork army, American Civil Warmaster Union/Confederate armies.]

Having a break away from them and doing my Warmaster stuff and starting to paint up some of the Zombies from Zombicide [LOVE THAT GAME]

will post more pics of the Undead and once they are done its on to the small Orc and Goblin army I am slowly building

Cheers

I had a break from painting up more units of Warmaster to actually making some Warmaster terrain

here is my first go:
Tzeentch Sorcerer Tower

Castle of Lord Dargus the Plaguechild

Swamp/Bog

making some low level hills and a Mountain sized terrain piece. All ready have a small river and some small black forests.

Will post more pics as I get things done.

Thx Deaf Nala

I'll keep on posting as I get stuff done. Going to be making up an Empire Village shortly so my Chaos and Orc can attack it.

Trying to find some Paper Orc village or even some kind of Elf buildings would be great.

VERY IMPRESSIVE! The little Living Impaired Lads/Whatever painted up far better than their diminutive size would suggest. I didn't realize that there was such a variety of minis for Warmaster. VERY WELL DONE! thumbsup

When you get them on the table, don't forget to take some Battle Photos...that should look unbelievably cool. clown

Thx Deafnala

I am currently starting to paint up the Orcs and Goblins but soon soon I'll have more chaos to paint up and add to that large force.

I am mostly concentrating on painting up Slannesh and Nurgle units as those two are my Favourite Chaos factions. The Undead was a side project but due to how cool they look I may have to expand it at some stage.

Currently bidding on more High Elves for the Daughter [Alot more chariots, and bolt throwers and finally a unit of Giant Eagles.]

will post more pics as I get time to wade through the metal still sitting on my painting table.

Cheers

My new lot of minis arrived so got busy painting up the Chaos Lord of Slaanesh on his Dragon.

I am going to expand my Nurgle and Slaanesh Armies by adding in all of the current units into either group. I want alot of Plague knights so will be painting up the knights next.

Got my 4 units of Marauders to paint up, Still need to get 2 or 3 units of Chariots they will be my next Warmaster buy.... and then I think my Chaos armies are done, and I can concentrate on my Orc and Goblin army.

I also painted up a unit of Ogres to be used in my Orc & Goblin army.

Orc & Goblin Ogres:

Slaanesh Chaos Lord on Dragon:

Nurgle:
1x Plague Knight Unit
2x Marauders of Nurgle units

Slaanesh:
1x Knights of Slaanesh unit
2x Marauders of Slaanesh unit

Still trying to find some chaos chariots that won't cost me alot of $$$.... I am wanting 1 for each Chaos faction maybe two for Nurgle and Slaanesh as they are my two fav chaos powers.

Will start to paint up the Orc and Goblin Giant tonight.
