So.. While getting sidetracked from my Beastmen project, working on my friends Undeads I have also begon another little side project Rolling Eyes
In this case I will, unlike my other warbands, assemble the mini's as my warband aquire them in the game. Once i reach the model limit I'll turn to the painting (If my beastmen are done at the time Wink ).
I'm aiming for a Tzeentch theme and feel for the crew and have had lots of fun figuring out how to kit bash the models so far Smile

First of all, the Magister and his familiar.

Mutant.

Mutant.

Possessed.

Possessed.

Beast.. err.. Birdmen Smile

I'll update when the guys here can afford more troops Wink Comments are, as always, appreciated Smile

You've managed to come up with yet more OH-SO-COOL minis. They're all very unique & imaginative. While the Bird Boys might have a slight edge, I'd be hard put to come up with a favorite. Enjoy the project. What a Face

The Birdmen remind me a lot of the Skeksis from the movie "The Dark Crystal". I love the look of these kitbashed minis!

Supernice minis my friend, great kitbashing, and the birdmen rule!
@spectre: Yap, totally skeksis, the most evil looking birdmen in the fantasy history.

those are, as always, just excellent! Really nice looking birdbeasts, good use of the genestealer arms Wink

And were have you found that bizarre little familiar?

Can't wait to see what you come up with next!

The models look great man, I like the birdmen most just because I've never seen those before, makes them even more awesome. Very Happy Looking forward to seeing them when they're painted.

Thanks for the comments guys Very Happy

The Birdmens arms are indead from the spacehulk genestealers Smile Theirs heads are brettonian banner tops, their topknots are from savage orcs and their shoulder pads are from chaos space marines Smile. The swords are from chaos warriors and the shields are from marauders. One of them has a skaven (I think) whip in his belt, and the other has a Kroot (or some other 40k) set of knives Smile

The familiar is from the chaos terminator lord set Smile

Ah yes! More birdmen! I did almost the same manouver for my beastmen warband, but with a marauder body. My favourites though, are the possessed... VERY menacing models! All in all - some inspired kitbashing and modelling with lots of ideas for us others to steal, I mean borrow!
