Cathay Style WIP

You have a real flair for the stonework...VERY NICE START! Carving the stuff up is a favorite pastime with moi also. As far as making a living carving up foam goes, you'd need a market for the models or some very small people as potential inhabitants.

Beautiful work! I really love the scenery, hopefully, we'll see some more buildings very soon

Thanks so much for all the nice comments, as mentioned before i've slowed down but today was my day off and i managed to do a bit of work on both the house and the temple!

Here's the House with some paint on, and some texture on the walls: (and my armless ubbermarine who still doesnt have a name )

Things seem to be coming along quite nicely...it's amazing how a little paint transforms things. The Temple floor has a spiderweb pattern/feel to it; maybe you could go for a Spider Goddess or some such thing. Keep up the GOOD WORK!

Billy my space marine was feeling left out ... forgot him in the last pictures

this floor is gonna be wood ^^ not sure about the windows yet but i suppose a very simple frame will do, more playable that way? anyway it's starting to look pretty tall ... the ground floor needs a sort of fence / rail around it and some reversed columns coming from the roof, but i'll keep that for last

Wondering just how warriors are making the climb from level to level in this cute Cathayan watch tower... A trap-door or pulley system!?

I am not sorry to say that Billy the marine has got to go. We want to see Cathayan soldiers patrolling the perimeter! The odd Dragon Monk training or meditating in the compound would not go amiss.

Now hop to it before old sensei Cianty catches wind of what you're up to!

I was wondering the same thing myself. Is this going to be part od another building maybe with a bridge connecting it.

Sometimes this kind of thread makes me more nervous and impatient than anything else!

You see, I wish I had 24 hours a day to dedicate to my different projects and fit in all of them (right now I'm building a medieval town, so I have no chance to start any other project).

I hope i'll have time to do more work on this soon, but i'm a seasonal worker and now is the season for me ... so i spend the little spare time have on sleep.

I think i'll be able to get back to it when the school-year ends here as it will free up some hours on my agenda!
