Salute!

I proudly present the first model for my Mordheim Orc & Goblin War-Band "Il Orkestra del Sangre" (The Orkester of Blood).

This mean green git plays a primitive Goblin version of a trumpet, more or less a shiny golden horn.
As long as it makes enough loud noise, every instrument is generally accepted in the war-band. Very Happy

I think, I will paint the front hole of the horn in black...

Update!

More to come soon. Stay tuned! Wink

Best regards,
Squig

PostSubject: Reinforcements   Mon 5 Mar 2012 - 17:47

I am happy to present another member of my War-Band "Il Orkestra del Sangre":

El Trollo is a converted "Battle for Skull Pass"-Troll.

Of course he plays an instrument that suits his feeble intellect: A drumset and a big club to smash on the drums, enemys' heads, daring gits...

The piece of meat reminds me, that El Trollo has to eat after each match... either an unlucky git or a pile of food worth 15 gold crowns.

I am especially happy with the eyes: El Trollo's retarded look always makes me smile. Very Happy

See you in Mordheim!

As a Fellow Goblin Guy, I think your Band is UBERCOOL! As you said the El Trollo's eyes enhance his not-exactly-a-Rocket-Scientist look. Keep up the FINE WORK! thumbsup

this is wonderful Very Happy

just a thing: you cant use "Il " with "Orchestra" as orchestra is a female noun in spanish. You have to use "El Orchestra del Sangre"

;D

Looks like the Tilean Orks speak a very shabby dialect. Very Happy
(Seems like I, their creator, messed it all up Very Happy )

Thanks for your nice comments, everyone! Wink

I think, cunning El Trollo could even perform a rocket surgery in the heat of battle with a spoon, while commanding an entire land assault of a whole green horde, while calculating finances for his whole tribe and working on a solution for the World Formula(TM)... Hmm, maybe not. He'd better just smash heads. geek

I created the name scrolls using Corel Photopaint for the scroll graphic and Corel Draw for the text.

I simply printed the name scrolls with my color printer and glued them to the backside of the base (the backside, because then you can see the model's name in the heat of battle. I think, in an average game, most of the time you will look at the model's back).

Here is a screenshot of the name scrolls that may be used for future members of my warband:

Yes, the cursor is right beside "El Barto"! Very Happy

I guess, I will create "El Homo", too.
"El Homo" will have a sculpted big belly and will be "armed" with a broad brush and a bucket of pain(t)... there will be a piece of scenery that is not yet crafted that will bear the graffito "EL HOMO" on it. Wink

ARIBA! ARIBA! UPDATE! UPDATE! Very Happy

I proudly present El Padre, the spiritual leader of the Orkestra del Sangre, a fierce and brutish Ork Gringo Shaman:

A view on the source of the pamphlet:

A view on the "Stompity Seal" - if Space Marines can have Purity Seals on their equipment, an Ork Shaman can have a Stompity Seal on his Mork's cowl to embiggen his Stompiness!

Man, sculpting, assembling and painting that model was total fun! Very Happy

Green Greetings!

PostSubject: Warband Tray   Fri 9 Mar 2012 - 19:38

Hey, everyone!

I just finished the base of my warband display tray.

Here are some pics:

Yes, the tray is magnetic and the minis have magnetic bases:

There will be various changeable magnetic pieces of decoration for the warband tray and a magnetic name tag for the actual warband.

When I have created a second warband, I can use the same warband tray and simply change the name tag and background scenery.

Rock on, everyone! thumbsup

dont you want your oponent to see the names as they race towards him?

surely knowing that it's "El Bastardo, El Stompo and El Smasho" running towards you must make you loose all common battle strategy sense affraid scratch

EDIT!

The group pictures are really cool, now i need a dos equis and some nachos ...

Thanks for your comment, izmerul. Smile

Hmm, I could put a name tag on both the front side AND the back side of the base.
A quite intriguing thought. Maybe I will do that in the future. But I'll first take a look.

Soon everybody in Mordheim will know and fear the notorious Orkestra del Sangre and run for their lives!
Muhahahaha! Very Happy

Announcement: I will add WANTED-Posters of several Orkestra-members to my scenery. Wink

Best regards,
El Squiggo

The Lads have turned out TERRIFIC...VERY IMAGINATIVE WORK! thumbsup
Considering the state of Goblin morale, your opponent will see their names more often where you have them. Suspect

I just realized that this thread fits better into the Gallery.

Could one of the mods please move this thread into the Gallery: Miniatures section of the forum?

Thank you and best regards,
