Hej Guys, trapped between selling parts of my collection to fund a paintjob, i also found new energy to paint myself, what is not happening so often, as some of you might have recognised through my time at toms.
We found some new recruits for our beloved mordheim, but, as it is serial mom who owns all those magnificent buildings and ruins, and ia m not getting forward with my own board, we thought, hej, when we meet at my place, why not use all this nice old advanced heroquest and warhammer quest floor tiles, and have some good old dungeon nights? this said we began straight away to build a dungeon, after the good ol´books that came with AH and Terror in the dark, and also generated a secenario or quest. The first evening we had a rescue quest, with a Count trapped in the middle of a beastmen infested dungeon complex. Every one started in his own cornerroom, and we began to hack ourselvs through sheer masses of beastmen, what a fun! We had the same fun as back in those childhooddays playing heroquest, and even more so, cause we combined it with mordheim. As some might know, there are different matrixes for dungeons, and you can randomly determine the number and place of those monsters to appear, or even trapdoors! Well, that was of course a really bloody and damn dangerous mode to play mordheim, but it was so much fun. So we decided that when we play at my place, we´ll play massacre Mordheim, until my board is done.

But playing in a big dungeon also requires villians and monsters to face, so i started to assemble some old heroquest minis, and even got myself to paint one in 3 hours, so here is our first MM Villian, " The MUMMY "

You ought to paint more often; that is a VERY WELL DONE piece. You have a fine depth to your colors; & the base is EXCELLENT. thumbsup

Nice painting work! I also LOVE the idea of using old Heroquest scenarios for Mordheim battles. If you can get these ideas down in a link or pdf file, I would definitely appreciate it.

Love the Mummy! I'm hoping you and SerialMoM share another battle report or two as well. Nudge, hint. Surprised

Marvellous job sir. The cracked flags are rendered expertly. A real treat to see old standards done-up like this! Nice to see somebody making use of the old hexagonal slottas. Wink

hej guys, thanks for your comments!
@werekin: Jap, absolutly love those hexbases. First used them for my dwrfs only, but now i also use them for dungeon minions as well, such as orcs, gobbos, undead etc..

Well, this said, here´s a little update, WIP pics of the skelly and the heroquest chaosknight:
