| Oh I'll just BUTCHER that thing for parts! Looks like I can make a cool tower for a bridge, a fortified observatory and some rocky spire thing. For about the same price as the Witchfate Tor, I've heard. Scoooore! Theo | |

| It is priced at 46 pounds, like the whole Fortifies Manor. The Witchfate Tower is at 41 currently. | |

| I am sure that in short time some nice conversions will surface on the web. Maybe this kit is an example that sometimes the different parts are bigger than their sum, if you catch my meaning. | |

| WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been fairly happy with the latest releases from GW - especially the Garden of Morr, which proved to be one their best - but this just absolutely blows my mind!!!!!!! Now THAT's a proper wizard's tower!! Or, as Theo said, you can make use of it for loads of different conversions! I will get it, no matter what! Joao | |

| There are things about the kit that are very appealing to moi, & other parts that I don't care for; HOWEVER, for it's potential, I rather like it. Considering what model railroaders pluck down for their plastic kits, the price is not at all out of line...a bit out of my means, but not out of line. | |

| Heck yes! The main living area thing with half the house sticking out could make a great piratey lair on top of a cliff. I'll need to buy two sets...*Crosses fingers and hopes for X-mas and Birthday money* Theo | |

| I like it a lot. Will be removing the huge skulls on the outside of the observatory, as frankly those are a little excessive, but it's a gorgeous kit. | |

| Whoever lives in such a thing must have black cats - and cats like milk! A nice easteregg by GW I think which imo shows there is still some soul in this company! | |

| Am I the only one that's noticed the GW designers have become lasy? Lots of details are exact copys of other sets. for an example see picture below: red circles are "stolen" from the garden of morr, the blue is from the temple of to many skulzzz. (the spikes are propably also copies but hey) I noticed little things like these on many of the recent kits, and I believe I've even seen this on some finecast models as well. I know it isn't easy but I would appreciate more orginality on their pieces. I'm disappointed by this and it makes skullvane manse less appealing to me. I hope I now didn't ruin skulvane manse for anybody else.. | |

Those types of details are considered standard or stock. The gargoyles are from the Mordheim Building sprue and may be older. Its something they have done since the company had enough bitz to work with. Back when they used to show greens in WD it was obvious which details the sculptor had 'borrowed' from stock. Skulls are a popular choice to borrow, once you've done one why do another? Now that details are just a file, I expect its easier.

| Like the two above, I don't mind at all and can even see advantages in it. Back in the day, the skaven night runners were in parts just reworked clan rats and that was fine for me as well. Made them look like belonging to the same army, not like the two totally different styles they have now. | |

You're not alone, Captain. Pointing out things like being undersized or not being to one's taste only leads to endless reaction from the G.W. Fans; .I'm trying to deny their existence...G.W. not the Fans that is. BTW with their Cad/Cam system, there isn't any need to stockpile bits & pieces. Individual designs can be integrated into any model...or not.
