| Nice start! Nice characterful poses, watch out for mould lines though (I'm often as guilty of not being as thorough as I should be myself!)
In the second pic of the Greatsword Deserter, I think that the metal on his dagger, buckles etc could do with a wash and highlight to tone them down, but that could be the camera (heaven knows I'm not really one to be giving advice on camera work though!)

| The War Band is coming along VERY NICELY!...there's a lot of potential there. As a W.I.P. project it belongs in the Painting & Modelling Section. I hope you don't mind the move...it's a nice neighborhood. | |

| Those are coming along nicely. It looks like the coffee grounds work really well for basing, too. | |

So far, hopefully this weekend I'll do some painting and paint over them and hopefully that will stop the little bit of flaking that is happening. | |

| Well not a lot has been done. Put a wash on the metal of the great sword's boots and dagger sheath, and finished painting his buddy with the sword and dagger. No names yet. The coffee grind basing is working alright so far. Some of it from the great sword's base came off before painting but with the paint on it seems to stay. I also (finally) painted up Plutz for my Bretonnian warband. He is a knight errant (though I may be using some of the alternate Bretonnian rules in the future) who became stupid from a wound and then next game killed the nasty Middenheim hand gunner who had bashed him over the head earlier. His backpack was my first ever attempt at greenstuff, I have a long ways to go. Also just noticed I forgot to paint his teeth. Please excuse the picture quality my sister has taken my camera with her on a trip so I'm stuck with just my phone. Comments and criticism wanted. | |

| All the Lads are LOOKIN' GOOD! I really like the Knight Errant...cool background also. The backpack looks pretty darned good to moi; I'm also fairly new at GSing...I'm finding it to be addictive. Keep us updated on your progress. | |

| Will do. Tomorrow I am going to coffee grind base my Bretonnian warband and touch up and give them the "We walked from Bretonnia," dirty hems look like I have Plutz. I'll probably add them to this thread instead of making a second thread. I'll also be doing some green stuff work tomorrow on the other two Maranburgers. | |

| Very nice! I like Plutz a lot. It's cool the way the minis start developing a "life" of their own. The greatsword and swordsman and looking very nice, also. I like your color choices. Looking forward to the next installment. | |

| Sorry I haven't updated yet. Took photos on my phone of the entire bretonnian warband so far (about 90% complete, couple little GS works and a trickle of painting left) but the email I sent to myself with the photos never arrived. I've also been distracted by the goblins I bought a few weeks ago. Finished assembling the night goblin regiment, doing some minor GS work to hide the terrible assembly job of the previous owner and making minor conversions for the goblins who will make up my warband. Also need to get some Simple Green to strip is hideous paint job. That being said my big boss has been converted and painted and two of the warriors are painted just need their bases completed.Pictures will come soon! | |
