You're not alone, Captain. Pointing out things like being undersized or not being to one's taste only leads to endless reaction from the G.W. Fans
I noticed neither fanboys nor endless reaction in here. Only people with different opinions getting along well. Suspect

AND, in the best tradition of Good Fellowship that is the hallmark of T.B.M.F., rightly so; would that it were this way on every Forum. What a Face

Please note I said "Fan" which is not a derogatory comment whereas "fan boy" might be construed as such.

I don't consider myself a fan - although sometimes I might have fanatical reactions towards the hobby! Razz

To be honest, I like the fact that someone is stepping forwards and pointing out something that could be improved. If I was an artist or selling hobby products I would appreciate this kind of feedback.

On the other hand, it could be that the GW people are going for a consistent, trendy kind of look (skulls, Sigmar symbols, gargoyles, same windows and stonework, and so on). As hobbyists, we have the choice to either buy their stuff, or not. Or, buy their stuff and customise it the way we want.

I'm actually happy that there is a company out there that makes plastic terrain with loads of conversion options and different possibilities. And not that expensive, considering other companies.
Suspect I just wish there weren't that many skulls, but hey, I can always get rid of them (and I will!)... Twisted Evil

This kit is ridic. I love it! Trouble is if I go out and buy it to work on now to compliment the wonderful productions that Shanks has knocked out for me, then I will never get around to working on the Land Ship boxed set I bought! It keeps being pushed to the back by other activity.

The great thing about the Manse is that it looks like the thing will sit flush on the waterline. Wink

I'is certainly impressive piece of terrain, but I really hate the large skulls on the tower. They are childish and ugly, and also without any sense.

Otherwise, cool idea and nice inspiration.

I think it would look great if you took two of these things, and modeled them over a river... either a small stream, so the bridges connect, or make it look like a flood smashed it... maybe some remaining support columns...

God, I wish they would make some elf towers in this fashion...

The skulls are way over the top. And the switch to cad has seemed to allow GM to get very sloppy in their recent works. I do like the house perched on the crag, but the pice and the need to obliterate all these giants skulls prevents me form getting this.
