I've found some pretty fantasy medieval japanese miniatures that could be fine for a Nippon warband (using rules from a reikland or bretonnian warband).

http://www.veltd.net/28mmclanwar.htm
Clan War miniatures from Valiant Miniatures

It's possible to create an undead, possessed and skaven warband with medieval japan style too, using miniatures from the evil clans.

Goblins, Dwarves and minotaurs

Samurai Orcs

There are some miniatures from REAPER too. Actually somebody know other fantasy medieval japan miniature series? Thanks.

PS: Just a curiosity. was done in some unofficial army list? The Battle Monks list don't work well for a Nippon warband (in fact I could use a reikland or a bretonnian army list).

Interesting, didn't know two of the manufacturers yet.
Warcrow has some samurai/ japan style stuff:

And soon Wargames Factory will have:

If you look here, even if it is german, you can figure out the name of some more manufacturers offering Samurai:

(Darksword, Fenryll, Hazgaard Editions, Silver Fox Productions Inc., Tales of War, Westwind Productions, Wyrd, Micro Art Studio (for bitz))

Edit: the last link didn't save my search word. Just type in "Samurai" and klick on "Suche starten"

I've got a Nippon warband made up of Clan War minis on my painting table right now.

Awesome minis, just waiting to build my skills up a little to do them justice.

Although I did add a GS eye-patch to my captain so he could be Date Masamune Smile

I plan to run them Reiklander cause in my opinion it is the closest fit rulewise. I'm even playing early-Nipponese and self-restricting black-powder.
