| These turned out TERRIFIC...probably the best pieces thus far. I love the glowing blue effect on the jump packs; AND the Banner looks GREAT! VERY WELL DONE! AND here's a link to C.M.o.N., so the Lads get an appropriate vote: http://www.coolminiornot.com/305300 | |

| That banner turned out smashing! Really eyecatching. The enemy will know what hit him, because he was standing staring for a minute, gaze transfixed by the exuberant angel on the banner. | |

| Here's some progress on my 10 man death company, I used a black basecoat and then a couple of drybrush highlights with tones of grey (with a tinny bit of blue on it) After that I washed all models, first with a dark red tone, and then a heavy pure black wash after the first one was dry. I started with some red details already, but that part is on a very initial stage, it's just the base colour. But for now the base shades on the power armour and the bases are done. I might give the black power armour another black wash coat to make it a bit darker, but I'm not sure yet. They're supposed to have black armour, but just painting them black seems too boring I guess, better kind of give a sense of reflection and grey gradients to make them stand out a bit more and avoid dullness. | |

| The Lads look fine; black is a difficult color to highlight without turning it into grey... WELL DONE! | |

| Giving the Death Company a gloss varnish might alleviate some of the dullness problems if you go for a black wash. As of now they look a bit dusty, which is cool in its own way. I'm trying to discern the kitting, but that's a bit difficult. Little help? | |

| I would go for the black wash... it will make the almost black (dusty) parts look black and the greyish a little dark. The wash tends to look glossy, but you can use that for your advantage. Matt Finish over the parts you want flat and Satin Finish over the parts you want radiant... easy highlights!
Great job on the models!

| I don't see the end of it... but here's a bit of progress... I washed the power armor again with a dark blue (almost black) to kill the dustyness and And started painting the red bits with blood red, also some metallic details, the two guys without a helmet and the helmet's eyes with an attempt of glow effect... I will paint the gems with a red-purple tone, other details like spikes and skulls golden, and the scrolls and cloth just kind of a bone color washed with some sepia and stuff... and I still need to highlight the red details with some blazing orange.. | |

| Ah, that went well! I think they look very sinister. Good stuff! Still wondering about their weaponry though. How many power weapons did you squeeze in? It seems to me that you should have about half of them with power weapons to really make use of them well. | |

| I've been quite abscent lately, I apologize, took like a month vacation from WH But since 6th edition is right around the corner, I need to continue with the army, here's some progress on my Vindicator. | |

| LOOKIN' GOOD! actually, at first glance, it looked like your Vindicator had taken up smoking...that is an impressively long barrel. Taking a break on a project is sometimes an excellent idea; re, you can start again with a fresh perspective. | |

Vindicators are ace - internet wise asses claim they should be run in pairs, but I'm sure one will do fine. Get some paint on soon - it will look great in that deep red!

| So I started painting and assembling a Stormraven gunship... to be honest I didn't spend much time on the interiors, since only the front hatch will be functional, so I guess it's ok to leave out sloppy mistakes you won't be able to notice too many details once it's all assabled together anyways. | |

| The sloppy part doesn't show up in the photos...at least to moi. There is something really cool about peeking into a model & seeing little details; this looks like it has potential in that direction. GREAT WORK! | |

| I don't see anything sloppy either. It more than passes the '12 inch away' test. I find interiors, or things that are meant to be heavily washed, look better with heavy contrasts or highlights. | |

| The Vindicator turned out great! The dirt seems very well done, and the shading is as good as ever. Those Stormraven interiors look promising as well! | |

| After a long period of lazyness... I'm finally close to finishing my 10 man death company, I only need to finish the power weapons and do a little clean up hear and there to pick up mistakes, although I'm not planning on being too picky, this has taken me long enough already! xD | |
