PostSubject: Hello from Mil-ROCK-ee!!   Tue 9 Aug 2011 - 18:56

Hey all, I've been playing miniature games in Milwaukee, WI for six years now but this is my first foray into Mordheim. I've been itching to play a great campaign-based game and a few of my friends have told me to check it out.

I have a Marienburg warband on the assembly table--I picked them so I can use a wealthy, foppish accent while I play. Plus, I love the feathered hat; why that hasn't come back in as a fashion trend is beyond me. I am using a mix of GW parts--Empire militia, Empire archers plus a few other odds and ends.

Any tips you vets have to start my warband would be greatly appreciated. Even though I have a pretty technical job, I am finding the decision of what to bring/build to be quite challenging. Also, I'll be playing a bunch of waaay more experienced warbands and I would like to keep my ass as least kicked as possible...

Anyway, when I found this site, I knew it was the Mordheim place for me--I can be verrrry boring. Orc Shaman sleeping

Welcome to the forum. I'd recommend starting a thread in the Rules and Gameplay section for warband advice. Right off the bat I recommend swordsmen and a marksman with a blunderbuss.

Greetings, Repeter, and welcome to Tom's. Any Empire warband is a great choice from a modeling perspective, given the rich selection of plastic kits that mix very nicely together.

Von Kurst gives good advice (he always does): start a thread in the Rules and Gameplay section - you will receive much excellent (and often contradictory) advice.

Thanks for the welcome folks--I'll be hitting the rules section for advice, ASAP.
