| Hi, My warbands make good progress and i thought it would be time, to present them. Shadow Warriors My favorites are my shadow warriors, but because i am lacking some painting skills other warbands have the privilege to become paintet before. Averländer Corsairs i wanted to have a maritime warband, but without fireweapons, so i choses to use the rules for averlanders for my Corsairs. The will become my first paintet warband. Comming Warbands: Reikländer (Zvezda Elves ^^) Middenheimer (mostly Armalion miniatures) Skaven (Isle of blood Skaven) perhaps more in the future Saranor PS: Our Houserules

| My Averländer are my fourth warband in our campaign. Because of that i made them with special fluff wise rules. The Fluff: In the last campaign the crew of the river Pirate ship Isabella was captured by the militia and improsioned. After some time they managed to escape. They headed for Mortheim in hope for weapons and quick gold. If they had enough they planned to seize a ship and leave Mortheim for good. They plan to make themselve a fine life as real pirates of the seas (and no more being lowly river scum). Self imposed restrictions: - half of the loot will go in the "treasure". The goal is, to archive 1000 gold before the warband disband (less than 3 members). - no modells may be hired. Only "returning a favor" grants them a hired sword for one game or "prisoners" (exploration 3-3-3) grants them a new henchmen (he got lost during the escape and followed them here) The warbands startet with all members (15 models) and only 3 hammers as weapons. After 2 games the warband developed to this: Captain (still WIP) Crossbow (shield and sword will follow, as soon i got the gold) + haggle 1. Maat (Sergeant) Hammer (sword will follow, as soon i got the gold) + Attack Gun-Master(Bergjaeger) Longbow + quick shot Rig-Master(Bergjaeger) (longbow will follow, as soon i got the gold) Cabin Boy(Joungblood) Halberd + Mighty Blow Henchmen 2x Crew(Mountaingard) Hammer (sword will follow, as soon i got the gold) + S 1x Crew(Mountaingard) Axe + S 1x Crew(Mountaingard) + LD 2x Crew(Mountaingard) Sword + Initiative 2x Crew(Mountaingard)

| Has someone an idea, which skill my hand to hand Shadow Walker should take?
I play normaly against posessed and Reikländer, sometimes Undead and witchhunter too. In our gaming group are more warbands (Skaven, Dwarfs, Orks...), but we use our own Rating-System for the warbands and i try to use the warband with the most fitting rating for my enemy. There i have already 4 Warbands in play (sadly most still not painted, but i am working on it), my Shadow Warriors are only in league with the Warbands mentioned above.

| i made a small mistake.
I took the stats from my blog, but after the last game, i forgot to update my blog. Now the stats are correct.
Has someone an idea which skills i should give my Shadow Weaver and my Shadow Warrior(two Skills)? My best range Fighter has to miss my next game...
And i have 35 gold left to spend. hired Swords are paid, a sword is in my stored equipment and i can still use haggle once.

| Finally got some pictures of my Averlander and some other stuff. I updated the post above with pictures and the actual warband stats. But here some Sneak Peak my side project. It should become a harbour tavern for my corsairs. And this will be my future Middenheimer warband. PS: I would still appreciate some advice which skill my weaver and which two skills my range shadow warrior(only intellect or shooting available) should take. | |

| Woho, your Averländer Corsairs look so much better than before. The washes do the trick, what genius advised you on using those? Too bad, they will still get their asses kicked on saturday. Except for Indiana Jones, who doesn't fit in there at all, your future Middenheimer look good as well. I just have a bad feeling about all those dogs. And skills for your shadow warriors: just go with haggle and knife fighter, will you? | |

| Who could that person be, that gave me the advise? ... i think i forgot :-P
Thanks. :-)
For the Skills: the Shadow Warrior already has Quickshot, Haggle, Streetwise and Wyrdstonehunter. He has +1 LD, +1 Ini and is just as slow as a lowly human (leg injury). And he has 2 skills to choose...
Shadow Weaver: Familiar, Runestone, Gromrilsword, Sword, Rabbit-foot Spells: Wings of Shadow, Living Shadows Blind on one Eye +1 WS, +1 Wound, +1 S Step Aside, <new Skill>
I am not sure if i should improve the fighting ability from the weaver (somehow she attracts most of my enemies attention...) or get another spell, but i like the spelli already have and think, i don't need another one... With the familiar i have no problems with the spell difficulty...

| Pics only? So I might add a word or two. When I visited Saranor yesterday we were playing around with some of his terrain, had fun doing so, added some more, later some more and suddenly we ended up with a dockyard, a worker's camp and some administrative buildings. Now all we needed was to figure out a scenario spontaniously: Dockyard-raid. There were three treasurehoardes (see pic above): the mine to the left, the warehouse in the middle and the ship on the right. When you have a bandmember in the mine or on the ship, you get D6-Gold, if this bandmember is not in CC. If same happens in the warehouse, you get to choose one item from the "Lost prince" treasure table and roll for it (e.g. a suit of heave armor on 5+). Oh, and every treasure-hoard had two guards. We decided upon an 8-turn limit (because I wanted to be home not too late that day ) I got to admit that the scenario was a little lame which we both figured out right after the game. Most CC wasn't between the warbands, we pretty much just exchanged bolds and arrows. The guards were easy prey for Saranor, who could reach them quicker. He got some money out of the cave, I didn't even bother with the ship. Noone reached the warehouse in time. I think this scenario has some potential, if the terrain is set up a little different next time and maybe we skip/expand the 8-turn limit. | |

| the elves had some games and i have to update them as well as to introduce my middenheimers.
Most of the terrain ist WIP, because i am still at war with my paints and brushes... I try to get some help from my girlfriend or try to split work with other members of my gaming group (i build the terrain for them and they will paint mine)...
