Hi, I am starting an undead warband and am looking for some models to use as dire wolves. I am not sure if I am going to include any at first in my warband as they are a bit expensive but I would like to have a couple if I want to use them.
I could use the GW dire wolf models or goblin wolves but they look too big for me. I would prefer something I can put on a 20 or 25 mm base.
Does anyone have any ideas on what models I could use? \

Depending on the model they will likely come with either no base or a 25x50.
Your quest for a wolf that will fit on a 20mm or 25mm base may be difficult since the original Mordheim Dire Wolves and all of GWs Dire Wolves for the last 15yrs or so are intended for a 25x50 base.

The reaper minis don't come with their own square bases, you'll have to provide those. As far as the size I can't say for sure, I've only used their regular humanoid models which I put on the standard GW bases I have around the house for my Fantasy armies.

The problem with trying to get a Dire Wolf that will fit on a 25mm square is it's not going to match the Beasty's stats...visually it will be a Dire Corgi . PLUS using a smaller base for a powerful creature is a bit cheesy.
If you go for a proper sized Dire Wolf, chect out Game Zone:
Coll, huh!?
BTW Reaper's Warlord minis do come with plastic bases, although no 20mm squares...that's a G.W. only bit of twinkiness.
