Yo ho and a bottle of rum!

Avast y'all!

I've been lurking these forums for a couple of months now, and after seeing some excellent and inspiring topics, I decided to pick up the sculpting tool and paintbrush again!

So ordered some parts and started putting togheter a pirate crew, I am pretty happy how they are coming along so far, especially with the first mate (in the middle) and one of the crew members (on the left). I think I will work on the other crew member , like sculpting a belt or something, ideas are always appreciated!

The picture is a bit blurry, I don't have a good camera at the moment, but you still can get a glimpse !

Ahoy Scurvy Dog! Welcome aboard o' the forum. Pirates are back in style again (arrrr, like they ever went out!) so I think you'll fit in very well round these parts.

A very nice start on the crew mate. I look forward to seeing this band of ne'er-do-wells develop.

Arrr, welcome! Good to see some more pirates showing up, especially if they are done as nicely as yours! I'd love to see some more angles and a little less blur, but from what I can see, they look fantastic. Where's the parrot from?

@Eliazar: The parrot is from Black Scorpion Miniatures, the Pirate acessoire sprue, I try to stick with only GW models, but Black Scorpion just has got some amazing and very usefull bitz!

Now that is a fine way to introduce yourself. The Lads look TERRIFIC & very piratical; the Parrot looks to be in his cups & listing from his perspective to starboard...an EXCELLENT START, Parrot notwithstanding.

I've been working on another crew member, still need to find some weapons for him, but I tought it was time for an update!



Now I have to find other bits to continue building them haha! ...Enjoy!

GW needs to make more cutlas bitz. I have lots of pistols, but I'm always short of cutlasses.

+1 on the barefoot guy. Empire players seem to hate that torso, but it makes a good pirate.

Thanks all! And indeed more cutlasses! The Torso on the barefoot model is actually from the running guy which you get with the Warhammer Giant! I liked his shirt and with the sash he makes a proper pirate. It's actually quite hard to create some good pirates out of empire bitz, thinking of getting some beastmen torso's for crew in the future..

I Dig the bare feet to many deck ape's seem to be on the pro shoe side.

Aye! the Blackscorpion sprue is very, very nice! I like the freebooter stuff aswell.

BTW, Have you seen Beasts of War Pirate gaming board? It was made for Cutlass! the pirate game from BlackScorpion, actually pretty cool table!
